A year and change since making her debut on Twitch, MichiMochievee planned and executed her first-ever subathon throughout August 2025. Dubbed the ‘Scamberthon,’ it added 30 seconds to her stream timer for each subscription or donation. By August 31, she hit her hard limit, peaking at over 90,000 subscriptions.
The month-long event saw MichiMochievee collaborate with fellow VTubers, host game nights with her friends, and prepare other special activities throughout August to keep her chat entertained. Michi’s highest goal reward at 50,000 subscriptions was to organize an IRL stream in the United States with fellow VTuber Akuma Nihmune; she managed to achieve this ambitious goal only half-way through the month. Streams Charts breaks down Michi’s wildly successful August by the numbers.
In total, Michi received over 3,138,000 Hours Watched (HW) for her Twitch content during Scamberthon, roughly the same as what she received in six months after debut. Her usual Just Chatting content was as popular as ever and generated almost half of the total viewership, but also, her time spent asleep in the I’m Only Sleeping category produced another 19% of this total HW. While asleep, her moderators and friends kept her chat entertained throughout the night, significantly bolstering the final viewership results.
Thanks to her 24/7 streams and consistent fan support, Michi was able to rocket up the Twitch leaderboards from the month. During August, Michi was the #29 most-watched Twitch streamer on the entire platform: for reference, for 2025 as a whole Michi ranks within the top 200 Twitch streamers by watch time.
During the peaks of her subathon, MichiMochievee was the most-subscribed-to creator on Twitch. Directly after her subathon, Kai Cenat began his own subathon, Mafiathon 3, taking back the top spot. As well as the massive wave of subscriptions she received, she was also well-supported by her community in direct donations and Twitch Bits: altogether, she received over 2,188,000 Bits from her fans, or $21,880.
Michi was the second-most-watched female streamer on Twitch in August, only falling behind Emily “ExtraEmily” Zhang, who received serious viewership for her Elden Ring marathon and over 4,000,000 HW in August. Michi even ranked ahead of her good friend ironmouse; the Puerto-Rican streamer was constantly supporting Michi, sometimes even raiding her and bringing over 10,000 viewers directly to the stream.
For her first-ever subathon, MichiMochievee could not have hoped for a better result than her Scamberthon. The August event was some of her most-watched content ever, and with all of her goals ticked off, the Indonesian creator can take a well-deserved break from livestreaming. Subathons are not new phenomena for Twitch, but their power and potential remains unmatched; Michi is the latest proof that community-driven events are the key to the top of the charts.
