The Esports Charts editorial team sums September up in this article. Here you will see an updated ranking of the most popular esports teams of the month. We should especially note Sentinels as it has greatly increased its audience reach since Takik has become a member of the team.
Luminosity Gaming is again the most popular esports team on Twitch in September. In the first month of Fall, its streamers accumulated 18.9 million Hours Watched (a 12% drop from August's results). The xQc channel accounted for most of the viewership, totaling 16.7 million HW (-6%) in a month. At the same time, the PV number of the Canadian streamer rose to 227K people in September — the best result since April 2022. It happened on September 20 during an interaction with viewers in Just Chatting.
Sentinels esports team rose from ninth to second place in a month, racking up 14.2 million HW (+126%). There was a strong increase in PV (+138%) and AV (+114%). Such a leap is owed to the fact that in September a popular American streamer Tarik joined Sentinels and became the official content creator of the club. In a month, Tarik accumulated over 8 million HW on the channel and saw a PV number of 148.8K people at the Valorant Champions 2022 broadcasts.
Third place in the ranking is held by Team SoloMid American organization. In September, it accumulated 12.81 million HW, a 5% increase from August. The most active streamers of the club by the end of the month are TSM_ImperialHal (3.5 million HW) and buddha (1.8 million HW) — the former broadcast Apex Legends as usual, and the latter streamed GTA V. It should be noted that TSM_ImperialHal significantly increased his Airtime (+88%). QTCinderella became the leader by PV in TSM — her stream on the first day of Shitcamp 2022 was watched by 52.7K PV.
Cloud9 jumped from fifth to fourth place in September. Last month, its streamers amassed 10.9 million HW (+7%). But the number of channels representing the organization on Twitch decreased by 22%. The most popular content creator of Cloud9 in September was k3soju — in a month he accumulated 2.7 million HW (+146%) and surpassed even forsen (1.3 million HW, +23%). One of the fastest growing streamers of the club is Keeoh, who accumulated 714K HW broadcasting Valorant (+529%).
Team Liquid, an esports team, dropped from second to fifth place. The organization's streamers racked up 10.8 million HW in September, 15% fewer than in August. The biggest contributor to this result was made by qojqva with Dota 2 broadcasts — the German streamer accumulated 856.9K HW. Frttt (678K HW) and Rakin (490K HW) accumulated slightly fewer. Especially active in September was LexVeldhuis — his Gambling streams amassed 414K HW and drew 12.3K PV (+544%).
ZETA DIVISION racked up just over 10 million HW in September and ranks sixth in our ranking. Last month, the Japanese team was tenth with 6.4 million HW. The most active channel in September was stylishnoob4, which had 5.9 million HW (+73%), mostly because of the Final Fantasy XIV Online and Splatoon 3 streaming shows. Another 2.2 million HW were accumulated by k4sen. It should be noted that in September, ZETA DIVISION got several new active content creators with a good audience reach — Lazvell (727.6K HW), TENNN (229K HW), IAM_XQ (212K HW) and others.
The Brazilian LOUD streamers totaled 9.8 million HW in September. This is 12% fewer than the organization had in August. As usual, the GTA V broadcasts by loud_coringa (4.8 million HW) and gabepeixe (1.8 million HW) attracted the most viewers. Coreano was also very active, racking up over 2 million HW (+119%) and drawing 58K PV (+350%) at the Valorant broadcasts.
The Japanese team DeToNator remained on eighth place in the ranking, although its numbers only grew over the last month. While in August the club's streamers accumulated 6.7 million HW, in September this number increased to 7.9 million HW. fps_shaka, who alone accumulated 7.6 million HW (+22%) mainly by broadcasting Valorant Champions 2022 and Monster Hunter Rise, remained the leader of the club.
FaZe Clan went from sixth to ninth place in the past month — in September, the American club streamers together amassed 7.3 million HW, which is 19% fewer than in August. NICKMERCS made the most effort racking up 3.8 million HW (-23%). He mostly broadcast Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
G2 Esports rounds out the Top 10 most popular esports streamer teams on Twitch in September. The organization did not make it into the ranking in August, but did so in the first month of the Fall, racking up 6.1 million HW. Mixwell became the leader in the club by audience reach with 1.8 million HW (+231%). In the second half of the month, the Spanish streamer and professional Valorant player began broadcasting much more frequently (+120% of Airtime). Apparently, he had more free time after G2 announced the lineup was disbanded.
