Streamer QTCinderella organized the second edition of Shitcamp which finished on the 9th of September. Shitcamp 2022 joined some of the biggest names in content creation, in an event where the streamers were divided into two teams, and faced each other in various challenges. The goal of the event was to bring streamers together, allowing them to interact with each other, and live fun moments away from their PC.
Just like in last year's edition of Shitcamp, streamers spent four days together, engaging in various activities and pre-planned challenges. This generated some very funny moments, and allowed the streamers to get to know each other better.
Streams Charts summed up all the stats of the event to see how Shitcamp 2022 did in terms of viewership and other metrics.
What's the Shitcamp 2022 event about?
QTCinderella managed to bring together some of the biggest content creators from North America, with stars from Twitch and YouTube attending the event. The streamers were divided into two teams, team TENT, and team OTGAY. Each day there was a primary activity and several other side events in which the streamers participated.
The streamers had an incredible amount of fun throughout the whole event. They were making fun of each other and telling jokes. The mood was amazing during the whole event, and overall streamers had a good time while participating in the challenges.
On the first day of the event, two team captains were chosen by the viewers. The streamers chosen to be team captains were Ludwig and HasanAbi. The two streamers then took turns selecting the members of their team. HasanAbi team was named OTGAY, while Ludwig team was named team TENT.
The first game of the event was battle shots, where each team go to plan where the boats with the shoots would be placed, and if the member from the opponent team guessed correctly on his try, then the other team member would have to drink the shot. Team OTGAY won the first challenge after Ludwig admitted WWE had cheated in the middle of the game, by moving one of the boats from its original position.
One of the other games the streamers played was hide and seek. The thirteen streamers from team OTGAY hid, while Myth and QTCinderella went searching for them. Once again team OTGAY came out on top in this challenge. Each team would gain points for each challenge they managed to win. In the end, it was team TENT who won the event, with Zoil being awarded the MVP of Shitcamp 2022 by the viewers.
Everything that happened on Shitcamp 2022 was broadcasted on multiple channels, and on two different streaming platforms, Twitch and YouTube.
Viewership stats of Shitcamp 2022
Shitcamp 2022 had some good viewership numbers, but compared to the first edition of the event in 2021, it saw a drop in all the major viewership metrics. Viewers watched Shitcamp 2022 for 1.2 million hours, while the previous edition of the event had 2.6 million Hours Watched. When it comes to PV, this year's edition had 69.5K simultaneous viewers, while last year's event had 155K Peak Viewers, so you can see a significant drop in the PV number.
33K concurrent viewers tuned in every time a stream related to Shitcamp 2022 was on the air. However, in 2021 the number of concurrent viewers was much higher at 66K. Shitcamp 2022 was also broadcasted for 37 hours and had 481K unique viewers (Ludwig and Myth YouTube's streams were not taken into account for this metric).
Day two of the event was the most popular with 69.5K Peak Viewers, and viewers watched the stream for 339K hours. In 2021 it was the first day that saw the biggest number of simultaneous viewers with 155K. On day two popular streamers such as HasanAbi, cyr, and Maya streamed the event, which was why day two became the most popular day of the event.
The second most popular day of Shitcamp 2022 was day three, with 59.8K simultaneous viewers. Just like on day two, HasanAbi and Maya streamed the event, but this time AustinShow, which is one of the biggest content creators on Twitch, also streamed the event, and played a major role in the number of simultaneous viewers day three was able to achieve.
In third place, we have the opening day, with 52K Peak Viewers. Only three streamers broadcasted the event on this day, making it the second day with fewer content creators streaming the event. This obviously hurt the viewership numbers of the first day of Shitcamp 2022.
Curiously, just like in the 2021 edition, the last day, where the closing ceremony took place, was the least popular of the event. Day four had 43K simultaneous viewers, and only two streamers broadcasted the event that day, QTCinderella and richwcampbell. The fact that in both editions the last day had the lowest Airtime of all the days is also one of the reasons it was the least popular day of both editions.
It's clear that Shitcamp 2022 viewership metrics are good but failed to surpass or even reach the same number as the ones the event had in its first edition. Huge streamers such as xQc, and sodapoppin, not having attended the event surely hurt the viewership numbers of the same, as they played a huge part in the amazing viewership numbers the first edition managed to gather.

The future of Shitcamp
QTCinderella has already said that she wants to continue with Shitcamp, and do other similar events in the future. In the opinion of the streamer, Twitch is lacking this type of event that brings content creators together. Allowing the streamers to get to know each other better, and participate in IRL activities and challenges.
Despite the viewership numbers being worse than the first edition of the event. Shitcamp 2022 still managed to reach good viewership numbers, and we will for sure see QTCinderella and her streamer friends come back next year for another edition of Shitcamp. It will be an even bigger and better version of Shitcamp, with more new challenges that will entertain viewers from all across the world, and create some unforgettable moments.
