Twitch is one of the biggest streaming platforms in the world and is the home of thousands of content creators. With so many talented streamers on its platform, Twitch organizes monthly tournaments called Twitch Rivals, which join some of the most popular streamers of a region, or a specific game, to compete against each other.

In October, we had many Twitch Rivals tournaments, so we at Streams Charts collected all the data from the events to see how they faired in terms of viewership.

The three most popular Twitch Rivals events of October happened at TwitchCon San Diego, and you can check our article on the event if you want to know more about them. In this article, we will cover the tournaments that didn't take place at TwitchCon San Diego.

The most watched and most popular event of October, apart from the ones that took place at TwitchCon San Diego, was the Twitch Rivals Friday Night Bites ft. Chicharito & FIFA 23, which had 131K Hours Watched, and 50K Peak Viewers. It had some of the most popular North American and Mexican FIFA content creators on the platform, as they teamed up and played in 2v2 FIFA 23 matches. Streamers would play three matches in the public lobby in the first stage of the event, with a win giving them 3 points and a draw 1 point. The two squads with the more points would then face each other for the first place, with the third and fourth duo fighting for the second place, and so on. LA Galaxy’s Mexican football star Chicharito participated in the event, but it was the team of Bugs and BuckArmy who came away with the win, and $6K in prize money.

In second place in both metrics, we have the Twitch Rivals Chivalry 2 Routier Rumble EU. This event had forty participants and two different phases. In phase one, the participants competed as individuals in the Free For All Modes of the game. Phase two saw the players being seeded into two teams of twenty and competing in Team modes. Each phase had a different prize pool distribution, with both phases having $25K in prize money. YFXttv who streams almost only Chivalry 2 dominated the tournament, winning both events of phase one, and his team also came out on top in phase two.

In Twitch Rivals Halloween Party Taiwan ft. Goose Goose Duck, 16 streamers from the region played twelve games of Goose Goose Duck, a similar game to Among Us, on seven different maps. It attracted the interest of viewers, with the event having 23K Peak Viewers, and being watched for 86K hours. During the tournament, we had a lot o funny moments and thousands of viewers were able to have a laugh and relax while watching the stream.

With 80K Hours Watched, and 16K Peak ViewersTwitch Rivals Super Animal Royale Showdown Japan was the fourth most watched and most popular event on this list. Sixty of the most popular content creators in Japan came together to entertain thousands of viewers while they played Super Animal Royale. In the first game mode of the event, there were two lobbies, each with two teams of 15 players that would battle each other. The second phase of the game saw the four teams play in a Battle Royal, and in phase three, teams played the Mystery mode. In each phase the prize distribution was different, but the event had an overall prize pool of $19K.

Twitch Rivals Super Animal Royale Showdown Thailand had only 19K Hours Watched and 6.3K Peak Viewers, being very far from the viewership numbers of all the other events. The tournament had the same format as the Japanese version of the event but wasn’t quite as popular. Its prize pool was also smaller at only $7K.

Twitch Rivals events are a success around the globe, with the European and North American tournaments being the most popular. Viewers love to see some of their favorite content creators play against each other, and the events always deliver some memorable moments. In September we will have more Twitch Rivals events, that will bring together some of the biggest names on the platform, and will certainly deliver some more funny and unforgettable moments.
