Streams Charts has compiled a ranking of the most popular Twitch streamers in Q2 2023. This article was prepared in collaboration with HyperX. Until August 9, we are also hosting a joint season of quiz game 'Whose Avatar is That?', where you can win top-notch game devices. Visit the game's page to participate.

Canadian xQc became the most-watched Twitch streamer in the second quarter of 2023. He accumulated over 34.2 million Hours Watched, mostly streaming in Minecraft and Just Chatting categories. It is worth noting that xQc signed a non-exclusive contract with Kick in June and is currently fully exploring the new platform. The cost of his two-year contract amounted to $70 million.

Gaules, a popular CS:GO streamer from Brazil, takes second place in the ranking. In the second quarter of 2023, his channel accumulated approximately 32 million Hours Watched, which is a 22% increase compared to the first quarter. The result is attributed to Gaules' almost round-the-clock streams, where replays follow live broadcasts. In the second quarter, the Brazilian covered numerous CS:GO tournaments, including IEM Rio 2023, BLAST Paris Major 2023, IEM Dallas 2023, and other events.

American streamer Tarik from Sentinels takes third place in the ranking — in the second quarter of 2023, his channel accumulated 24.1 million HW. He was able to achieve this audience reach thanks to tournament streams of Valorant, where he is the most popular community caster of esports. In recent months, tarik has covered all major Valorant championships, including the VCT Americas affiliate league and the VCT Masters Tokyo international tournament.

Ibai, one of the most popular streamers in Spain, takes fourth place in the quarterly Twitch ranking. In the period from April to June, his channel accumulated 21.4 million HW, almost matching his result for the first quarter of the year. Ibai's range of streams is quite diverse: he covered matches of the media football league Kings League, as well as tournaments of League of Legends and Valorant — including those where his own team KOI plays.

Coringa from the Brazilian organization LOUD closes the Top 5. In the second quarter of 2023, he accumulated 19.6 million HW. Coringa mostly plays GTA V on his streams, but recently he has also been actively streaming Minecraft and competitive matches of Brazilian teams in Valorant.

Japanese streamer fps_shaka from the organization DeToNator takes sixth place in the ranking with a result of 18.6 million HW. Shaka is a popular community caster for Valorant, and his broadcasts helped the Riot Games shooter to become so popular in Japan.

Top American streamer Kai Cenat accumulated nearly 18.4 million HW in the second quarter of 2023. This is a 65% decrease compared to his numbers in the first quarter, but he still managed to maintain a place in the Top 10. In May 2023, he signed a contract with the platform Rumble to film and broadcast a collaborative entertainment show with popular YouTuber IShowSpeed.

He was able to gather this on his channel on June 26 during the broadcast of the entertainment night show "Zen au Zenith avec Squeezie". It should be recalled that this was the final episode of the second season, and many popular streamers from France were invited as guests: Squeezie, Bezigue, Ben Haddad, and Théorus.

Brazilian streamer LuquEt4 takes sixth place in the ranking with a result of 185.6K Peak Viewers. Baiano from Brazil rounds out the Top 10 of the ranking. In the second quarter of 2023, his most popular broadcast attracted 154.5K Peak Viewers. That's exactly how many viewers tuned in to his channel on May 5 to watch the Mid-Season Invitational 2023 broadcast (League of Legends).

Most Popular Twitch Streamers by Average Viewers in Q2 2023

Most Popular Twitch Streamers by Average Viewers in Q2 2023

Hours Watched and Peak Viewer are the main metrics for analyzing the popularity of streamers. However, average viewership on a channel is also very important, as it shows the channel's popularity over the long term. This metric can be considered more objective, as it is less dependent on external factors such as specific tournaments, events, or occurrences. In this ranking, we have considered only channels that had over 100 broadcast hours per quarter — we have excluded streamers and channels that broadcast rarely or irregularly.

Several content creators from the other rankings made it into the Top 10 Twitch streamers based on Average Viewers. The leader is the Spaniard ibai, whose broadcasts had 64K AV. Brazilian streamer PaulinhoLOKObr, a big fan of GTA V RP servers, gathered almost the same number of viewers.

Among the previously unnamed content creators, it is worth mentioning aminematueauronplay, and ElSpreen. The first one enjoys playing GTA V and discussing football news with viewers, while auronplay and ElSpreen often play Rust and Minecraft on their streams.
