Thanks to our consistent tracking of viewership data for livestreaming platforms, Streams Charts can present a quarterly report of the most-watched Twitch streamers for Q2 of 2024. The second quarter of 2024 was full of exciting livestreaming moments for every audience; whether you watched Kai Cenat’s collaborations with Kevin Hart, followed ibai’s Kings League, or just enjoyed your favourite streamer, Q2 had no shortage of highlight moments to pick from.
Before we look at the global top 10 ranking of most-watched Twitch streamers, we made use of Streams Charts’ Region and Country filters on the Channels page to create top 10 rankings for some of Twitch’s most influential markets. Firstly, we highlighted Twitch streamers from Europe, who were led by world-famous Spanish streamer ibai.
Top Twitch Streamers from Europe — Q2, 2024
Throughout Q2 of this year, ibai livestreamed special events, League of Legends esports, and his Kings League to hundreds of thousands of concurrent live viewers. In total, the industry-leading Spaniard generated 20.07M Hours Watched, and this is even excluding his recent record-breaking La Velada del Año IV, which took place just after Q2.
In second place, German streamer eliasn97 continued to impress as one of Germany’s most popular content creators. Elias is well known for his special events, and during this quarter he held “Streaming week”, a week of livestreamed collaborations and special challenges with other creators and personalities. Thanks to the boost in viewership from this event, he earned 14.53M Hours Watched through the quarter and secured second on this ranking.
Representing another country, French streamer aminematue received 14.22M Hours Watched, finishing up our podium places. The French creator was involved with ibai’s Kings World Cup event, and his broadcasts of the event were his most-watched content of the quarter.
Following aminematue was another French channel, otplol_. The channel belongs to a French League of Legends esports broadcasting organizastion, who represent the broadcasting power of the French audience for League of Legends in Europe, and abroad: the channel also broadcasts the Korean league, on top of French and EMEA leagues. The channel received 12.46M Hours Watched, outperforming the other esports broadcasting organization on this ranking, ESLCS.
ESLCS are a German-based broadcasting organization for Counter-Strike 2 esports. Q2 of 2024 hosted both ESL’s own ESL Pro League, as well as other third-party events such as IEM Dallas 2024. The power of these two kinds of events helped ESLCS to reach 11.47M HW this quarter.
Moving down the rankings, the same three countries were represented over and over. Papeplatte and GRONKH represented Deutschland, with the former leading the charge with 12.45M HW. GRONKH focused mainly on gaming content, whereas Papaplatte employed a mix of gaming, Just Chatting streams, and IRL Special Events.
IlloJuan and auronplay were Spain’s next-largest Twitch streamers. The two did not broadcast any large-scale Special Events throughout the quarter, instead relying on regular viewership for their content on a consistent basis. IlloJuan with 10.09M HW slightly outperformed auronplay, who received 8.88M HW. Finally, Kamet0 was France’s second representative with 9.54M HW, thanks to co-streams of Karmine Corp’s esports matches, his own team, and a 48-hour-long charity broadcast.
Top Twitch Streamers from Brazil— Q2, 2024
Moving across the ocean to Brazil’s side of Twitch, Gaules was the country’s most-watched Twitch streamer with 18.09M HW. as is typical for the Brazilian creator, his most-watched content of the quarter was his coverage of Counter-Strike esports matches, for which the streamer is one of Brazil’s most popular viewing options.
Another esports figure, Baiano took second place, ahead of loud_coringa, yet another esports-affiliated streamer. While Baiano focused on League of Legends esports coverage for the quarter, loud_coringa preferred relaxed gaming broadcasts, usually Grand Theft Auto V. Baiano led the way with 13.39M Hours Watched, and loud_coringa followed with 11.27M HW.
Former Overwatch professional esports pro alanzoka took fourth place with 7.86M HW, and Cloud9-affiliated content creator TcK10 was further down the ranking with 4.93M Hours Watched, who has mainly been covering the Valorant esports scene.
Yuuri22 received 4.99M HW throughout the quarter, hosting quite popular football-related broadcasts, and PaulinhoLOKObr received 4.69M HW for his Grand Theft Auto V content. Gabepeixe received 4.59M HW for his gaming and esports broadcasts, and he was followed by gambling streamer Ravanha69 and IRL travel streamer JonVlogs.
Top Twitch Streamers from Latin America — Q2, 2024
Across in Latin America, Puerto Rican VTuber ironmouse was far in the lead with 6.08M HW. She is also the only streamer in this ranking to appeal to an English-speaking audience, rather than Spanish-speaking. She was followed by telefe, a news and media company from Argentina who received 3.16M HW.
Another Argentinian representative, ElSpreen finished the podium places with 3M Hours Watched. The streamer’s content was not particularly popular compared to past content, but just at the end of the quarter he held a special 24-hour broadcast which generated over 533K Hours Watched for him. Alondrissa of Puerto Rico was next, she received 2.98M HW for the quarter, thanks to her Just Chatting content.
Mexico was particularly well represented in this ranking, with ElMariana leading ahead of rivers_gg, CrystalMolly, elded, and the KingsLeagueAmericas channel. ElMariana is one of streaming’s most popular creators, and all his streams were highly watched, as were rivers_gg’s. Rivers enjoyed a boost to her watch time from her coverage of the Kings League, which has enjoyed a healthy expansion into Latin America. CrystalMolly received her 2.45M HW thanks to a mixture of gaming variety and Just Chatting streams, and elded’s content was similar.
Last but not least, juansguarnizo of Colombia received 2.54M Hours Watched, making him the country’s most popular Twitch streamer. The streamer’s most-watched broadcast was a 48-hour stream, but generally a wide variety of his content received tens of thousands of Hours Watched.
Top Twitch Streamers from North America — Q2, 2024
Heading to the Northern side of the Americas, Kai Cenat was undoubtedly the most-watched streamer of North America with 43.76M Hours Watched. The North American streamer held multiple multi-million hours of watch time broadcasts throughout the quarter, but his most popular were his 100+ hour Elden Ring broadcasts and his collaboration with Kevin Hart.
Rainbow Six Siege’s Jynxzi was next, with 23M Hours Watched. Although he originally emerged as, and still is primarily, a Rainbow Six Siege streamer, the broadcaster’s most-watched content of the quarter came when he stepped outside this zone. His Elden Ring broadcast and special boxing event stream were some of his most popular content, for example.
The North American ranking was full of variety gaming streamers, with caseoh_ as our next-most popular Twitch streamer with 19.16M Hours Watched. Also on the variety gaming streaming diet, summit1g, zackrawrr, shroud, and LIRIK emerged as the most-watched of their kind. Variety gaming is an extremely popular livestreaming style, but especially for North American broadcasts, where the regional audience seems particularly receptive to this.
Streamers with more monolithic content such as Grand Theft Auto V streamer Lord_Kebun and Just Chatting creator HasanAbi ranked in this top 10, having received 10.71M and 14.25M Hours Watched, respectively. Somewhere in the middle, was tarik with 15.26M Hours Watched. The Turkish-American streamer largely focuses on Valorant content, but also intermittently collaborates with other streamers and explores other games.
Top Twitch Streamers Overall — Q2, 2024
With all the regions out of the way, Kai Cenat was by far the most-watched Twitch streamer of Q2 2024. The North American and international English-speaking audiences are two of Twitch’s most powerful, and Kai Cenat is deeply rooted in both of these audiences. Fellow North American streamer Jynxzi followed after Kai, and ibai finished our podium in third place.
A few streamers pop up in this top 10 from regions we have not explored, mainly Japan. Fps_shaka was Japan’s most-watched Twitch streamer with 19.15M Hours Watched. The Japanese streamer employs a mixture of gaming content, collaborations with other Japanese streamers, and special esports events. He emerged just ahead of 加藤純一です (kato_junichi0817), who reached 17.36M HW with more of a focus on Just Chatting content compared to fps_shaka.
Finally, Caedrel of the UK slipped through our European rankings to emerge here, as Britain’s most-watched Twitch streamer with 18.89M HW. The British streamer is mostly known for his League of Legends esports co-streams, and he is one of the most-watched English-language co-streamers for not only the EMEA circuit, but also the Korean, Chinese, and many other circuits.
