On November 7, the popular Fortnite and Call of Duty content creator Nickmercs announced on social media that he would return to Twitch sometime away with Kick. He added in the post that his deal with the Stake-backed platform was up and that he was grateful to the company for the love it showed him over the last couple of years.
Lads, my Kick deal is up. They showed mad love over the last 2 years & for that, I’m super grateful. Wishing them nothing but continued success. Moving forward, we will be primarily on Twitch. Though no platform is perfect, I believe this is best for the community. Cya tonight ??

Readers must note that Nickmercs signed a multi-million dollar deal with Kick just about a year ago, which apparently ensured he would receive $10 million. At that time, he was also banned from Twitch for some comments he made regarding the trans community, which led him to swap employers.
While the suspension was revoked later on, Nickmercs got into trouble earlier this year for once again making controversial remarks about trans community. That got him banned from the Amazon-owned live-streaming service in June, although it looks like he is back and will be seen more regularly.
At the time of writing, the American had 254.2K followers on Kick, where his most played games were Call of Duty: Warzone and Apex Legends. Nickmercs also delved a lot into the Slots & Casino genre thanks to the platform's much more relaxed stance on gambling streams.
On Twitch, where his comeback began with a live broadcast on November 7, Nickmercs has 6.7M followers. Being a shooter and battle royale genre fan, his preferred titles here were also renowned offerings like Apex Legends, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Counter-Strike.
The 33-year-old is also a sought-after community caster, regularly covering esports events in the disciplines mentioned above. He is also the co-owner of FaZe Clan, having previously played for the esports organization at various show tournaments.
Nickmercs saw his peak popularity on Kick in the second quarter of 2024, with his channel ranking 28th by Hours Watched for that three-month block (he was 12th among English-language streamers). His most popular live stream came on May 20, 2024, as over 35.4K Peak Viewers watched him play a Customs game on Call of Duty: Warzone.
While his viewership has not been the same in recent years as newer faces have tended to hog the limelight, he remains one of the most popular community casters in disciplines like CoD and Apex Legends. All signs point to him enjoying a decent second run on the purple platform, and it will be interesting to see the kind of audience reach he does.
