Just last month, content organization OTK announced a new deal with Kick. The two companies work together to create some livestreamed events with the new Kick Studios, offering Kick-exclusive content for their fans. As part of this deal, they recently held an Old School Runescape event, with tens of thousands of concurrent viewers tuning in to the official broadcast and co-streams of participants.
For their second livestreamed event, the OTK Kick channel held the official broadcast for their Trials of Gielinor event. Named after the fictional world of Runescape, the event saw established Runescape streamers join forces with less experienced streamers, coming from other MMORPG backgrounds, most commonly World of Warcraft. The Trials of Gielinor saw all of these streamers come together to fight for the top spot.

In total, for 8 hours of Runescape content, the official OTK Kick channel received just under 150,000 Hours Watched (HW). The OSRS event maintained over 17,700 Average Viewers (AV), marking a significant growth compared to the viewership for their initial Kick Studios event, the OTK House Party: this event received 13,061 Peak Viewers (PV) and managed only 9,128 AV.

While OTK’s official channel was highly watched compared to most of the participants’ co-streams, one streamer actually emerged ahead of the official broadcast. American Old School Runescape veteran Omar Odablock was highly popular during the event, likely benefitting from being on a team with popular streamer Thomas “Sodapoppin” Morris.
Sodapoppin is well-known on Twitch for his World of Warcraft content, and fans were enchanted by his transition to another popular MMORPG. His own streams practicing and learning the game were popular on their own, and he emerged as the second-most-popular co-streamer of the event with 21.7K PV.
Odablock offered a coaching and supportive role for his fellow creator, helping his team to victory throughout the various stages. Ultimately, the Kick creator received 31.9K PV as he and sodapoppin claimed victory at the event.

Other popular co-streamers for the event included Savix, Faux, and Annie Fuchsia, but these creators lagged significantly behind the two titans of sodapoppin and Odablock. Viewership for the event was largely focused on the most popular channels, with other involved co-streamers seeing minor, personal boosts in viewership.
OTK’s recent second event with Kick Studios, the Trials of Gielinor, appealed to tens of thousands of livestreaming fans and OSRS fanatics. The partnership between these two giants of the livestreaming industry is still in its early days, and as they host more livestreamed shenanigans and refine their working relationship, these could be some of the most popular Kick content of the summer. Keep an eye on the upcoming events by Kick Studios, the newest innovation by Kick in the industry.
