One True King (OTK) recently had its latest video games expo, the Winter Games Expo 2024, bringing together fans of such showcases for perhaps the last time this year. It provided glimpses of over 50 games within a live studio setting moderated by members of the prominent American media organization.
With much to unwrap, OTK Network's latest video game showcase attracted 121.5K Peak Viewers, 398.7K Hours Watched, and 101.8K Average Viewers over about four hours of airtime. These numbers may not be as high as some of the other expos held over the year, but that is to be expected as it was held during, what can be termed, the off-season. Viewers are perhaps more interested in esports tournaments like the M6 World Championship and the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024.
The first-ever edition of the Winter Games Expo 2024 saw more than 30 upcoming titles showcased from developers of all shapes and sizes from around the world. They covered genres like action, adventure, strategy, cozy, horror, shooters, and platformers.
This December 4 event was also on the hunt to 'discover the next big indie hit,' as per the organizer. Fans also got to vote for their favorite expo games, encouraging upcoming developers to showcase their work to millions of fans.
OTK's video game expos usually feature many games that are new or unreleased, helping it raise massive awareness and drive community feedback. Some of the games that caused a splash were Kingmakers, Into Evil, Dragonhold, and Alterium Shift, with the cult adventure game Doronko Wanko, developed by Bandai Namco Studio, also announced to be getting a paid PC DLC and a Switch release in Spring 2025.
Among the four expos held so far by OTK, this one had the least audience reach. However, as mentioned, timing played a part, with the other more important showcases usually held in the summer (which is the more typical season for video game showcases).
Nevertheless, there was a lot for fans and audiences to digest at the Winter Games Expo 2024. Undoubtedly, they will come across a few hidden gems from the catalog of games revealed, and there was the bonus of seeing their favorite streamers, including Willneff and Tectone.
