Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 Full Viewership Report & Statistics
Share:

Kai Cenat’s second subathon event, Mafiathon 2, concluded at the end of November. The marathon livestreaming event saw the North American creator collaborate with various celebrities, like Bill Nye, Kevin Hart, and Snoop Dogg. Streams Charts has collated viewership data for Mafiathon 2 to highlight not only the results of Kai’s channel, but also how he compared to other subathon hosts, and how Twitch, in general, reacted to the event.

During the final moments of the event, Kai Cenat’s channel reached 728 525 Peak Subs. His achievement stands at double the previous record, which was achieved by VTuber ironmouse during her own subathon event. Kai previously held this record himself, but ironmouse’s subathon in mid-2024 dethroned him. Since last year, Kai’s popularity has only grown, and his newest marathon event cemented his status on Twitch.

Mafiathon 2 Viewership Statistics

In the month of livestreaming which made up Mafiathon 2, Kai’s channel accumulated 82.3M Hours Watched. This was enough to rank him by far as the most-watched Twitch channel for November; in fact, he generated more watch time than the other top 10 streamers of the month combined. He maintained an impressive 119.2K Average Viewers for the entire month of November, and recorded just shy of 700 hours of broadcasting time.

Kai’s content throughout the month largely consisted of the Just Chatting category, which made up 78.8% of his total watch time. Of course, Kai has to sleep despite these day-long broadcasts, and so broadcasts when Kai was asleep generated 15% of his 82.3M Hours Watched. Kai also streamed from the IRL category, which was used when he was outside his home, and he also streamed 6 other games on Twitch, but his gaming content did not accumulate much watch time.

Throughout the entire Mafiathon 2 event, 24.8M Twitch Users were recorded in Kai’s Chat, and he gained 659.3K subscriptions during the event. Although he peaked at over 728K subscriptions as the event came to a close, he had close to 70K subscribers already before the subathon.

On top of accumulating these general viewership statistics for Mafiathon 2, Streams Charts has also collected daily viewership data for each of Kai’s broadcasts. These streams show which of Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 content generated the most watch time, and also which received the largest concurrent audiences.

Mafiathon 2 Daily Viewership

The most-watched day of Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 was his collaboration with celebrities Kevin Hart and Druski. Kevin Hart has appeared on Kai’s broadcasts before, and fans were surprised by how well the superstar actor fit into Kai’s streaming style. Maybe it’s his comedian roots, but fans were massively excited to see him return during this year’s Mafiathon. With Kevin Hart and Druski, the 27th day of Mafiathon 2 collected over 6.52M Hours Watched and viewership reached 623.4K PV.

Apart from this massively popular day, viewership for the Mafiathon 2 was relatively solid. Daily watch time generally hovered around 2–3.5M HW, and his concurrent viewership experienced only a few peaks. The first half of the month generated stable viewership with a loyal audience of fans. By the end of the month, the special events and collaborations attracted higher peak viewerships. Throughout November, Kai was the most popular streamer of the day 22 times.

On top of his collaboration with Kevin Hart being the most popular day in terms of viewership, Kai also received the most subs then. During Day 27, Kai Cenat received over 67.2K Subscriptions, which is over 10% of his total Subs Gained. The only other day which was close to as lucrative was the Mafiathon 2’s opening day, when Kai received over 55.3K subs.

As we mentioned before, Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 received 659.3K Total Subs Gain. Based on Streams Charts’ estimations, this means an income of somewhere between $734K - $1.65M. On top of this, Twitch users also spent over 4.2M Bits in Kai’s Chat during the event: 100 bits are equivalent to $1.

Of the hundreds of thousands of subscriptions received by Kai during the event, almost 79% of these were Tier 1 subscriptions. Tier 2 & 3 subscriptions were not particularly attractive to Kai’s audience, and these other two subscription tiers were only about 0.1% of all subs gained. 21% of subscriptions came from Twitch Prime, the platform’s integration with Amazon, which allows Amazon Prime subscribers one free Twitch sub a month.

Interestingly, the previous record-holder for Twitch subs, ironmouse, received slightly more Tier 2 & 3 subscriptions and much fewer Prime subs during her own subathon. She received only 2.2% of her total subs from Twitch Prime, and higher tier subscriptions were close to 0.2% of her total. While ironmouse viewers were more likely to spend their own money, Kai benefitted from a viewership happy to spend their free Prime sub.

Although Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 was undoubtedly bigger than ironmouse’s subathon, both in terms of viewership and total subscriptions, there are still some interesting comparisons to draw between the two livestreaming events. While Kai’s audience was undoubtedly bigger, ironmouse’s viewership was able to show their loyalty in other ways.

Comparing statistics for Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 and ironmouse’s subathon, the viewership domination of Kai’s side is immediately obvious. If we combined the viewership of the two streaming events, Mafiathon 2 would account for over 92% of the total watch time, and more than 96% of the peak concurrent viewership. Nevertheless, proportionally, ironmouse’s audience seemed more likely to give a subscription than Kai’s.

While ironmouse’s viewership was much smaller than Kai’s, her most competitive metric was Subscriptions Gained. Although her viewership is smaller than Kai’s, the loyal nature of the VTuber’s audience helped her to previously hold the Twitch platform record for subscriptions.

Kai Cenat’s Twitch Chat engagement rate was slightly higher than ironmouse’s, although the VTuber’s audience enjoyed spamming emotes more than Kai’s. Between both Chats, the singular most popular emote was ironmouseWiggly, far outperforming other contenders. Before we turn to examine Kai Cenat’s Twitch Chat analytics, let’s examine how he and his special livestreaming event were mentioned on Twitch’s platform globally.

Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 was a massive success for the streamer. Not only did he break the previous Twitch subscription record, but he massively extended his lead over other prominent content creators like ironmouse, Ludwig, Ninja, and Jynxzi. Kai’s second subathon event was the most popular in Twitch history, and as the content creator continues to break into the mainstream sphere and interact and collaborate with more and more celebrities, his popularity will only grow.
