The biggest shifts in the list of most-watched categories on Twitch in November came from Fortnite and World of Warcraft. Epic Games' battle royale earned 57 million Hours Watched, climbing three spots with a 36.9% increase from the previous month. This boost was driven by the Juice WRLD tribute concert, which was heavily streamed on Twitch. During the event, the Fortnite category peaked at 137.4 thousand channels — the highest across all categories on Twitch in 2024, and the second-highest for the game in its history. The only time there were more Fortnite channels was during the New Year's event in December 2023, with 146.9 thousand channels at peak.
World of Warcraft also saw a major jump, generating 48.2 million HW in November — an 81% increase from the previous month. The biggest contributor was OTK, who hosted a hardcore WoW Classic marathon to celebrate the game’s 20th anniversary. Streamers like Sodapoppin, Mizkif, EsfandTV, Emiru, and other popular content creators were all heavily involved. Other WoW fans, including loltyler1, LIRIK, summit1g, MOONMOON, and more, also joined the hardcore marathon streams.
Among the top ten categories, League of Legends is worth mentioning as well. While the total watch hours slightly dropped compared to October, the peak viewership saw a significant increase. During the grand final of the 2024 World Championship, the category hit over 2.62 million viewers at once, and the platform's total peak viewership reached 5.94 million — the second-highest in 2024. The only time Twitch had more viewers was in July, when Ibai hosted his boxing event, La Velada del Año IV.

We’ve put together a separate article on MAFIATHON, where we dive deeper into Kai's event and his star-studded guests.
HasanAbi, Twitch's most popular political commentator, also hit over 10 million HW, largely thanks to his coverage of the U.S. presidential elections. Another American streamer, zackrawrr, also drew a big crowd with his election content. On election day alone, he accumulated 1.7 million HW, which accounted for around 21.4% of his total for the month.
Among the top 10, we also want to highlight eliasn97 and auronplay, who both streamed Minecraft heavily last month and helped the game rise to fourth place in Twitch's category rankings. Riot Games topped the list of most popular channels, with 644,000 peak viewers during the grand final of the 2024 World Championship. Thanks to the tournament, streamers ibai and caedrel, two of the top League of Legends community casters, also made it into the top rankings. Caedrel even set a new personal record, reaching 403,000 peak viewers.
In second place is Kai Cenat, who pulled in over 623,000 viewers at once on his channel last month. His success came from the MAFIATHON stream, which featured actor Kevin Hart and comedian DRUSKI as guests. The BrawlStars and SpiukBS channels also made it into the top 10, covering the Brawl Stars World Finals 2024. The tournament set a viewership record for the game, so it’s no surprise that BrawlStars and SpiukBS also achieved their own record-breaking numbers.

Finally, rounding out the top 10 are the participants of Squid Craft 3, a major Minecraft event featuring top streamers. Mexican streamer SoyPan peaked at 277,000 viewers, setting an all-time record for his channel. His previous most popular stream had just 19,400 peak viewers.

Among the most-watched female streamers on Twitch, Shylily stood out in November — the German VTuber generated over 1.6 million HW thanks to her Cup-A-Thon event. Viewers can buy these items for themselves or gift them to others or run giveaways during the stream. As of this writing, the Cup-A-Thon has been running for over two weeks.
For the first time, American VTuber MegalodonVT made it into the top 10.
