The Road to TwitchCon ft. Fortnite Zero Build is a series of four qualifiers, in which twelve teams were selected for the Twitch Rivals: Zero Build World Invitational, which will take place at TwitchCon San Diego and will be played offline.
Zero Build was the new game mode that Fortnite presented this year, and has become a huge success. Initially, it was supposed to be playable for one week only, but the mode was so popular that the game developers decided to make it permanent. This will be the first-ever Zero Build World Invitational, and will bring together the best Fortnite Zero Build players in the world.
These qualifiers were open to three regions, EMEA, North America, and Latin America. Each of the four qualifiers had 32 trios participating. The teams played six games, and the team that finished with the most total points was declared the winner, and qualified for the Twitch Rivals: Zero Build World Invitational. Only the winner from each qualifier advanced.
Viewership Stats
In the last qualifier for the EMEA region, it was the Italian trio of Piz, Zangi, and alexcod that came out victorious. The event was live for 4 hours, and the viewers watched the multiple streams for 272K hours. The fourth EMEA qualifier had 57K Average Viewers, and reached a peak viewership of 67K. EMEA was the region with the highest Peak Viewers, when it comes to the fourth qualifier.
Pizfn, who also won the tournament, was the most popular streamer of the event, with 9.9K Peak Viewers. In second place was Polish streamer LukiSteve which had 8.5K simultaneous viewers. Pow3rtv secured third place with 7.3K Peak Viewers.
Regarding the most-watched streamers, LukiSteve secured first place with his viewers watching the stream for 23.8K hours. In second we have pizfn, with 22K Hours Watched. French star etoiles was the third most watched streamer, with his viewers following the stream for 22K hours.
In North America, the viewership numbers of the fourth qualifier were lower. The stream was also live for 4 hours, but viewers only watched it for 121K hours. It had 27K Average Viewers, and 32K Peak Viewers. All the viewership metrics were lower than the EMEA qualifier.
Twitch star tfue was the most popular streamer of the event, with 13K Peak Viewers. Nickeh30 comes in second place in the list, with 5K simultaneous viewers, very far from tfue numbers. Jccaylen secured third place with 2K Peak Viewers.
Once again, it was tfue claiming the first place, but this time it was for the most-watched streamer. Tfue viewers watched his stream for 43K hours, more than double the number of hours watched by the second place finisher, which was streamer nickeh30 with 20K Hours Watched. The third place is once again claimed by jccaylen with 7K Hours Watched.
The LATAM fourth qualifier had worst viewership stats than the EMEA and North America qualifiers. The stream was also live for 4 hours, and had 97K Hours Watched. It was the only of the three regions to not reach the 100K Hours Watched mark. The event had 31K Peak Viewers, and 23K Average Viewers, both the least of all the three regions.
The most popular channel was the official Spanish Twitch Rivals channel, the twitchrivals_es, with 9K Peak Viewers. In the second place, we have the official Portuguese Twitch Rivals channel, the twitchrivals_pt, with 4.6K simultaneous viewers. In third place was Spanish streamer betra, with 3K Peak Viewers.
The most-watched channel was also twitchrivals_es, with 26K Hours Watched. In second place we have Portuguese streamer blxckoutz, with his viewers watching the broadcast for 9K hours. Twitchrivals_pt finished in third place, regarding hours watched, with viewers watching 8K hours of the stream.
The most popular qualifier event was the second North American qualifier, which had 105K Peak Viewers. It was also the most-watched, with viewers watching its streams for 347K hours. The tournament holds the highest number of concurrent viewers, with 83K Average Viewers.
EMEA has three of the five most popular qualifiers in this list, with Latin America not having any of its qualifiers making the top five. In second place overall, we have the third EMEA qualifier, with 89K Peak Viewers. This event is also the second most-watched qualifier with 302K Hours Watched by the viewers, and 72K Average Viewers, the second most of all the qualifiers. The third place in this list belongs to yet another EMEA qualifier, this time the fourth EMEA qualifier. As mentioned above, this qualifier had the best viewership numbers of all the fourth qualifiers. Having 83K Peak Viewers, 66K Average Viewers (the third most of all the qualifiers), and viewers watched its many broadcasts for 287K hours (also the third most of all the qualifiers).
The qualifiers were able to record some good viewership numbers, with the EMEA and the North American region being clearly the most popular. The Latin America region was a little behind the two regions in the viewership department, especially in the third and fourth qualifiers, where they saw a significant diminish in viewership. Now the winning teams of all the qualifiers will participate in the Twitch Rivals: Zero Build World Invitational, which will start on the 10th of October, and will take place in TwitchCon San Diego.
