Rumble all-time peak viewers record was reached earlier today thanks to GOP Primary Debates. Rumble has recently been flying high, signing some big names and letting them strut their stuff online, which has only increased its exposure worldwide. This has also meant higher numbers across the board, culminating in the platform reaching a new record in terms of its peak concurrent viewership today.
The number reached was 704K Peak Viewers, mainly thanks to the GOP channel's broadcast of the Republican Presidential Primary Debate. GOP is another name for The Republican Party, one of the two major contemporary political parties in the United States. It emerged as the main political rival of the Democratic Party in the mid-1850s, with the two dominating American politics since.
The stream in question came as the 2024 GOP presidential candidates squared off during the first primary debate of the election cycle. Interestingly, almost all of them — fighting for the honor of being the leading alternative to front-runner Donald Trump — said they would support the former President of the United States if he is chosen as the party's nominee, even if he gets convicted in court.
The participants present for the debate included Vivek Ramaswamy, Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, Mike Pence, Dough Burgum, Chris Christie, and Asa Hutchinson. Conspicuous by his absence, if only physical, was Trump, who has a large early lead in the race to be the Grand Old Party's 2024 presidential candidate.
The billionaire does have four criminal indictment charges against him, including accusations of hoarding classified documents, conspiring to overturn the 2020 election, and making hush money payments to a porn actor and other women. Additionally, the took place a day before Trump was to travel to Georgia to be booked again on criminal charges.
All this only served to drum up interest in the broadcast of the debate, and users seemingly arrived in droves to see who would stand out as a viable alternative for the GOP. Of course, it helps that Rumble's terms of service are not as stringent as say Twitch's when it comes to the kind of content that can be aired, which has only led to a proliferation of far-right channels and religious channels.
In fact, the peak online viewers number reached by the site is higher than the all-time stats of Kick, Trovo, Bigo, Nonolive, and Mildom. Also, the month-on-month PV growth has been a whopping 23% between July and August, with the number of peak channels also rising by 6%.
Rumble has been on an upward curve over the last two months, signing the likes of Kai Cenat, iShowSpeed, and RiceGum, and it is attracting more such prominent names every day. In July, its Hours Watched and Average Viewers stats went up by 21% and 20%, respectively, and it is on the path to becoming the third most followed and preferred live broadcasting platform by the end of this year.
