Hololive have even been promoting Miko’s music with real-life billboards
Miko’s special announcement stream featured various other hololive creators, as well as pre-recorded and pre-rendered sketches and videos, something hololive is well-known for. The stream, which was live for under an hour, collected 115.5K Hours Watched and maintained an average viewership of 126K concurrent viewers. At peak popularity, the stream reached 169.5K concurrent viewers, making it Miko’s most popular broadcast to date.
The broadcast also tied into the popularity of “DAI DAI DAI Fantasista”, new music released by Miko and shown on stream. The announcement stream for the album and the concert also featured Miko on stage, singing and performing some songs for a virtual audience. VTubing fans couldn’t get enough, and her album, “flower rhapsody”, will likely be one of the industry’s most popular musical outings once it releases on September 25 of this year.
Her first solo-concert will take place on October 26, 2024, at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan. The venue was previously home to parts of the 2020 Summer Olympics, and can hold up to 15,000 people at capacity. Hololive previously held a “Connect the World” event last year, which was held on US soil and sold more than 5.6K tickets. If Miko’s new solo-concert is able to sell out the Ariake Arena, it may be one of hololive’s most popular live events ever.
Miko’s recent announcement was by far her most popular stream ever, outperforming her next-most popular stream, her 2024 birthday special broadcast, by more than 20K more viewers at peak. The recent broadcast was such a significant jump in viewership for Miko, that it was unquestionably her most popular outing ever.
All of Miko’s most popular broadcasts took place in this year and last year, highlighting her continuingly growing popularity and viewership. Miko is consistently one of the top VTubers across the globe, and her expansion into music and live events may only help her to fuel her growth and upwards trajectory through the industry.
