The popular German VTuber Shylily has set a new viewer record for Twitch channel, gathering almost 34K Peak Viewers during a live stream on the evening of January 27th. This occurred while she was presenting her new improved avatar.
Shylily kicked off the presentation of her new persona with a short anime-style cartoon where she took on the main role. Viewers were the first to glimpse the new model, featuring more realistic shadows and motion physics.
The stream of Shylily lasted over 6 hours with 18.1K Average Viewers. Throughout most of the broadcast, the VTuber shared insights into the development of her new avatar, showcasing concepts, breaking down the storyline of the animated presentation, and addressing questions from the audience. Towards the end of the stream, Shylily also indulged in some gameplay of Palworld.
The previous peak viewership record for Shylily's channel was 27.6K PV, set on July 29, 2022, during the presentation of another persona. On that occasion, she appeared before the audience in full height on the beach and showcased a pink swimsuit instead of the classic blue one.
The presentation of the new model has elevated Shylily to the third most popular Vtuber on Twitch in 2024. In terms of viewership, she currently trails behind only hiiragitsurugi and kanae_2434, two male Vtubers from Japan.
When it comes to the overall ranking of Vtubers across all platforms, as of the end of January, the top spot is still held by the Vtuber TokoyamiTowa. At the beginning of the year, she hosted a live stream on YouTube that peaked at 179.8K PV. However, there is no doubt that this result will be surpassed by other content creators throughout the year. For comparison, in 2023, Pekora Ch., the most popular Vtuber in live streaming, gathered 242.2K PV.
