On the night of February 1st, Sony held a State of Play showcase, teasing the upcoming titles for PlayStation systems. The broadcast gathered over 1.6 million Peak Viewers, setting a record for the series' events. Before this, the State of Play had previously reached a maximum of 1.4 million PV.

State of Play 2024 introduced 15 games for PS5 and PS VR2. Among them were titles like Stellar Blade, Until Dawn, Metro Awakening, and others. The highlight of the presentation was the unveiling of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach by game designer Hideo Kojima. The sequel is set to be released in 2025, but gamers can already get a glimpse of the gameplay and cutscenes.

The State of Play broadcasts garnered 1.4M Hours Watched, almost twice as much as the previous presentation held in September 2023.
