Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the sequel to the 2018 PlayStation 4 exclusive, was released on the 20th of October. The game has been released to huge critical success, receiving many 9/10 and 10/10 scores from various reviewers, but how has it performed on live-streaming platforms?
Luckily for our users, the release of the new Spider-Man title coincides with some exciting upgrades and changes to the Streams Charts Games page. Pages for games now feature an exclusive Statistics tab, where users can explore the viewership statistics of games in-depth. Take a look at the initial viewership of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and enjoy a short tutorial on the new Streams Charts functions.
By navigating to the statistics tab for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, users can explore the recent viewership for the game, by default across the past 7 days, but more historical data is available.
Here, we can see some of the classic metrics available with Streams Charts. Spider-Man 2 is a new release, but Streams Charts also offers more in-depth historical data for all titles. The past data of games is only available to our PRO subscribers, although free users may still access some data on these pages.
Further down the page, users can compare the viewership data for any game on a monthly basis. Not only restricted to months, but PRO users can also group the data by weeks, allowing for more precise data analysis.
These statistics cover the overall performance of games in live-streaming, but what if you want to analyse which streamers contributed to this data? Our brand-new statistics page also features distribution graphics for our PRO subscribers. Here, our users can analyse the popularity of channels contributing to watch time, their country of origin, and what type of channel they are.
Looking across the past data for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we can see that 48.7% of all channels to stream the title have between 1K and 10K Followers. Only 6 channels, or 0.2% of the total, boast more than 5M Followers.
PRO users can also click on these different datasets and browse the streamers included for themselves. For example, by clicking on 1M - 5M followers, users are redirected to a page where they can browse these streamers. Or click on France under the country distribution to be redirected to a list of French streamers who have covered the game in the past 3 months.
We also recently released the Languages tab for games pages. Here you can analyse the distribution of various languages to the total viewership statistics. Hours Watched, Peak Viewers, and many other statistics are available to be visually analysed on this page with our automatically generated graphics
Further down the languages page, there is an automatically generated pie chart for each game, breaking down the language distribution of the watch time throughout the selected time period. PRO users also have access to the raw data numbers for various languages, including Hours Watched, Average Viewers, and more.
At Streams Charts, we are constantly improving the accessibility and functionality of our statistics database, and the above new functions are not the only ones to recently land on the Games page.
