WestCol hosted the third edition of his Stream Fighters event on October 21, which saw content creators duke it out inside a boxing ring. Like the previous iteration, it was sponsored directly by Kick and was a huge success, becoming the platform's most popular livestream.
WestCol's Stream Fighters 3 is a Latin American internet celebrity boxing event where influencers from internet culture, fitness, and more gather to put on a show for the fans. It started as a minor show in a small venue in 2022 before upgrading to a large-scale boxing arena to attract more spectators and grow the live culture of the event.
This year, Stream Fighters 3 was held at the La Macarena Convention Center in Medellín, Colombia. It saw the likes of Camilo Sanchez, MiDiosTePague, and El Gomez battle it out with other influencers as part of a seven-fight card.
This popular boxing event reached 1.41M Peak Viewers over 6 hours and 15 minutes of airtime, making it the only single stream to touch the one million mark on Kick. It was also the most popular broadcast of all time on the Stake-owned platform, beating his own record achieved at the Stream Fighters 2 boxing event, with the next-best internet star being Belarusian influencer mellstroy271.
It also helped the live streaming service set a new record of 1.75M PV, helping it edge ahead of Rumble and finally surpass AfreecaTV's highest mark. The previous record was 1.14M PV achieved in June when prominent Saudi Arabian creator sxb streamed the last-chance round game of his team SXB FC at the Kings World Cup 2024.
Around 520 channels covered the event across three platforms (Kick, Twitch, and YouTube). They generated over 6.1M Hours Watched, with WestCol's Kick stream accounting for approximately 88% of the total. Its success also helped the Colombian influencer dethorne Adin Ross to become the most followed Kick streamer.
With the live stream doing record numbers, Ed Craven, Co-Founder, of Stake and Kick, was on hand to congratulate WestCol's accomplishment, saying via X:
"Congratulations to WestCol for being the first person to break 1,000,000 concurrent viewers on Kick. An even bigger thank you to him for trusting in Kick's vision from the very beginning, and also helping introduce us to the incredible LATAM community. Thanks to the Latin American community for choosing Kick."
Returning to the Stream Fighters 3, here is the list of winners from the seven fights:
- JH de La Cruz beat Camilo Sanchez
- Alanalarana beat Mav
- Leandro beat MiDiosTePague
- Pepe Goitia beat Daren
- Reboll beat Kris R
- Big Mike beat Hércules
- ElGomez beat Chanty
The entire card was a highly anticipated one, and even those bouts that fans felt lukewarm toward before the show ended up surprising them. It also helped solidify WestCol as the most popular LATAM content creator (excluding YouTube Non-Gaming channels), a record he has held since the Stream Fighters 2 event that did 807K PV.
Overall, Stream Fighters 3 was a hugely successful event that continued to showcase the viewership might of the Latin American region. It also showed why streamers from this region remain so popular and successful, with viewers and fans thronging in millions to watch the broadcast of their favorite streamers, be they esports competitions or such influencer-led matches.
