American streamer Ludwig “Ludwig” Ahgren partnered with Red Bull to host Streamer Games 2025, a sports and entertainment showcase at Leuzinger High School in Lawndale. Dozens of top creators came together to compete in a mix of athletic challenges and lighthearted competitions. Streams Charts takes a look at how the event played out and who came out on top.

Ludwig first introduced Streamer Games last year, and it’s already shaping up to become an annual tradition. That comes as no surprise, given the growing popularity of IRL sports events featuring streamers. Think of Streamer Games as a lighthearted take on the Olympics, where the competitors aren’t professional athletes, but well-known creators. They go head-to-head in classic sports like track and field, alongside playful challenges designed more for entertainment than serious competition.

Streamer Games 2025 were set up as a team competition, beginning with the introduction of eight captains, including Jeremy “DisguisedToast” Wang, Din “Agent00” Muktar, and Emily “ExtraEmily” Zhang. On August 7, a draft was held where captains picked their squads from a pool of popular streamers eager to take part. The full roster can be found on the event’s official website.

Teams went head-to-head across a variety of events, earning points based on their performance. The competitions spanned everything from archery and relay races to challenges of focus, strength, endurance and, above all, teamwork. In the end, ExtraEmily’s squad claimed victory alongside teammates Samuel “Sambucha” Beres, Timothy "iiTzTimmy" An, MARI, and Mister Arther. Highlights from Streamer Games 2025 are available now on YouTube.

Streamer Games 2025 Viewership Statistics

The official Streamer Games broadcast was streamed on Ludwig’s Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as on the channels of other participating creators. To mark the occasion, Twitch even introduced a dedicated event hub, making it easy for viewers to find every stream in one place.

From August 16–17, the Streamer Games section on Twitch amassed 2.8 million Hours Watched, placing eighth among all categories on the platform during that span. The event averaged 97,100 viewers and peaked at 285,000 concurrent viewers, ranking fourth on Twitch by both metrics for the weekend. And that’s just on Twitch: the overall numbers climb even higher when YouTube viewership is included.

Across all platforms, Streamer Games 2025 generated 3.74 million Hours Watched. The broadcasts drew an average of nearly 319,000 live viewers, with peak concurrent viewership reaching 374,674. That makes it the most popular show event Ludwig has hosted to date. He has a history of hosting similar shows, including MOGUL MONEY, the Mogul Chessboxing Championship, and the Ludwig x Tarik Invitational, among others. You can check out the full list on this page.

The top-performing streamer of Streamer Games 2025 was Jason “JasonTheWeen” Nguyen. Across just two days, this team captain pulled in over 500,000 HW. He also led the way in average viewership, though Ludwig edged him out in peak concurrent numbers. It’s worth noting that Ludwig was live nearly around the clock all weekend, replaying the event after each game day to keep the stream running.

Compared to last year, the number of unique channels streaming Streamer Games jumped from 24 to more than 90. Most were run by participants themselves, though a handful of restreams were also included.

Compared to last year, Streamer Games 2025 more than doubled across all major metrics. The surge was driven by several factors: a stronger lineup of high-profile streamers, expanded broadcast coverage, and an audience that now had a clearer idea of what to expect from the event.

With record-breaking numbers and unforgettable moments, Streamer Games 2025 proved that Ludwig’s blend of sports, entertainment, and streaming is here to stay. Who knows what he’ll bring next — but one thing’s for sure: the hype isn’t slowing down.
