Super Bowl LVI, the decisive game of the 2021 season for the National Football League (NFL) champion title in the United States, took place last Sunday, February 13. The participants of the game were the National Football Conference (NFC) champions — Los Angeles Rams and the best team of the American Football Conference (AFC) — Cincinnati Bengals.
The first Super Bowl game was played on January 15, 1967, and since then has been played annually on the Sunday right after the end of the playoffs. For convenience purposes, each decisive game has been designated by Roman numerals, rather than the year in which it took place. It should be noted that LVI was the first Super Bowl game ever held during the Olympics. The game resulted in the Los Angeles Rams becoming the NFL champion of the United States.
