One of the top annual video game-related showcases, TennoCon, was held on July 18 and 19 at the RBC Place London, Ontario, Canada. It treated fans to hours of announcements, creating enough hype for the official Twitch channel to enter the top ten charts on Twitch and make the event one of the most successful ones in the series’ livestreaming history.
The TennoCon 2025 reached 481,215 Peak Viewers (PV) across all broadcasts during Day 2 of proceedings. This number was reached at the end of the broadcast, when the lucky winners of the event’s giveaway box were revealed, with those whose names were announced receiving various prizes related to Warframe, including the just-released Valkyr Heirloom Collection.
The 404,153 PV that the Twitch livestream garnered on the official Warframe channel placed it in the sixth spot for the most popular broadcasts of the past week. It also hit 187,857 Average Viewers (AV), putting it among the three most consistently watched streams between July 14 and 20.
One of the top announcements that helped create hype for the TennoCon 2025 was the full gameplay reveal of The Old Peace, the next major Warframe narrative chapter. Digital Extremes disclosed that an Operator-focused story is expected to launch later this year.
The gameplay reveal of Soulframe got a lot of attention. Many fans are saying it feels like a mix of Skyrim and The Witcher, which has made them really excited to try it. First announced in 2022, this MMORPG is available to play right now via an early test version, making it the first time access to the test server is open to all members of the public rather than just invites.
Digital Extremes also disclosed that there is a lot more in store for Warframe, including Valkyr receiving her Heirloom cosmetic bundle on July 21. The Warframe team is also working with tabletop RPG developer Paizo to create Warframe x Starfinder: Operation Orias, set to arrive this October.
The Canadian video game developer also announced an “Untitled Fall Update,” one of the most substantial additions to Warframe ever, which will drop at an unspecified point this fall. There will also be a host of quality-of-life features, alongside a new tutorial Quest called The Teacher, which will finally streamline the introduction to how Warframe’s Mod system works. This is almost a direct response from Digital Extremes to address criticisms of the multiplayer space ninja action game’s steep learning curve for new players.

Most watched and popular TennoCon editions
Among all the TennoCons held over the years, the 2025 edition was perhaps the most successful, finishing second in peak live viewers and topping the watch time leaderboard. What helped it reach a record 2.45 million Hours Watched (HW) is the fact that it is the only one to be held over two days, with the two livestreams also ensuring it is the only iteration to pass the 10 hours airtime mark.
Overall, it was an action-packed edition of the TennoCon for players and hardcore fans of the legendary game. With a lot of content promised and the new title finally being accessible to a wider gamer base, there is a good chance Warframe’s livestreaming stats on platforms like Twitch will see a hike, as was the case on Steam, where it reached its highest player base of 126,827 since setting the all-time record of 189,837 in July 2021 (during TennoCon 2021).
