One of the most popular VALORANT streamers worldwide, Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, has joined T1 Esports as an influencer and streamer, the organization and former player announced on social media earlier today.

The former Sentinels star, once known as one of the best players in VALORANT, has joined the historic South Korean organisation, home to the legendary League of Legends player Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeo.

Will TenZ be a VALORANT player for T1?

The organization and player announced that TenZ would join the organization as a content creator, utilizing his large fanbase. TenZ will not return to professional play at the time of writing.

The streamer has indicated that he would play as a substitute if needed for the main roster; however, he said on stream

“What T1 and I want to do, they’re kind of aligned,” the streamer said. “If T1 need an emergency sub, I’m right here.”

TenZ has a prolific streaming career following his growth in Counter-Strike and later following the release of Riot’s first-person shooter VALORANT. This year, the former player has amassed 1,002,297 hours watched with a peak viewership of 27,206, according to data collected by Streams Charts

The streamer has amassed less airtime this year, however, with only 143 hours and 55 minutes live, a 56% drop compared to the same period in 2025.

It was speculated that TenZ could return to competitive VALORANT with his former team Sentinels. However, a move back to his VCT Master’s-winning team failed to materialise.
