Top LATAM streamers in 2024

Top LATAM streamers in 2024
Share:

Content creators from Latin America were on a roll in 2024, with their combined watch time so far exceeding 100 billion Hours Watched (HW), 13% more than the entirety of 2023. The number of channels creating livestreaming content also went past 5,000, with most of the top internet stars seeing rises in their numbers as well.

This region was especially crucial to Kick, which, led by the likes of Fernando "Westcol" Alvarez and Stiven "MrStivenTC" Caicedo, continued to raise the bar when it came to its audience reach. The region's influencers in general also kept busy across livestreaming services, with their content, based on genres ranging from sports to gaming to vlogs, attracting millions of viewers.

Note: With stats for the entirety of 2024 now available, there have been some changes to these rankings, which have been necessarily updated.

Be it the Kings League or the Dedsafio Minecraft series, the efforts of LATAM streamers to entertain not only reached a wider audience base but also shone a spotlight on various gaming and non-gaming genres. To celebrate this success, Streams Charts has collated a list of the most-watched streamers from the LATAM region (not counting Brazil as it will have a separate list thanks to its massive livestreaming community) in 2024.

#10 Juan Sebastian "juansguarnizo" Guarnizo

One of three Colombians on this list, Juansguarnizo is one of the most prominent entries here, at least in terms of Twitch followers. At the time of writing, he has 11.45 million followers, making him one of the few streamers to cross the 10 million mark.

In 2024, the 27-year-old has gained immense popularity across livestreaming services thanks to his content, which often includes gaming, vlogs, challenges, and collaborations with other influencers. His games of choice last year have been Minecraft and Grand Theft Auto V, while the Just Chatting category has also made up a large part of his overall watch time.

Beyond his online presence, Juansguarnizo has also ventured into music, releasing several songs and collaborating with other artists. His influence has also meant the Monterrey resident is one of the team owners in the highly successful Kings League. The coverage of his side, Aniquiladores FC, gave him his highest peak concurrent viewership in 2024.

#9 Osvaldo "ElMariana" Flores

ElMariana is Mexico's biggest Twitch star and one of the 11 names to be part of the aforementioned 10 million followers club. Apart from Just Chatting streams, he has spent most of 2024 playing Minecraft, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Roblox, while the last 30 days have seen him engrossed in The Walking Dead and Fortnite.

Last year, the Monterrey resident's total HW output has been 49% lower than in 2023, which has meant he has slipped out of the top 100 global rankings of streamers. He had managed to snuggly fit into this bracket over the last two years, and he will have to be pretty busy over the next fortnight to try and make it for the third year in a row.

Like a lot of LATAM influencers, the 26-year-old has been busy participating in many streamer activities in 2024. This includes prominent events like Squid Craft 3 and La Velada del Año IV, with ElMariana even part of the card of the latter boxing event, losing to Pablo "YoSoyPlex" Rodriguez  in the sixth and last bout.

#8 Bruno "brunenger" Kruszyn

Brunenger is one of the largest content creators from Argentina who has broadcasted on YouTube and Twitch at different times and now primarily streams on Kick. Brunenger is a multiple-time nominee and winner of the Coscu Army Awards, an award hosted by fellow Argentine streamer Coscu that honors the best content creators in Latin America.

Recapping his 2024 so far, the 20-year-old's recent broadcasts on the neon livestreaming service have been especially fruitful. His stream covering the third edition of Westcol's Stream Fighters emerged as the number one on his channel by peak concurrent viewers.

IRL and Just Chatting streams have been his staple last year, with his most preferred game being Minecraft. Brunenger, who has also released a few songs over the years, traveled to Colombia in October, with one of his vlogs covering his journey across this South American country emerging as his channel's third-most popular broadcast ever.

Off the camera, Brunenger was embroiled in an unsavory controversy involving urban music singer Tiago PZK. He accused one of the most popular current Argentine artists of assaulting him along with five friends at a party, although the musician denied these accusations.

#7 Steven "rdjavi" Santos

RDjavi is the only name on these rankings whose numbers come from three different livestreaming services. The Dominican Republic native is also one of two the names, alongside a certain VTuber (who we will discuss later), not from Mexico or South America.

Having been active on all three major livestreaming platforms, RDjavi's most successful time has come on Kick. He has so far hit just over 9.12 million HW there, with his most watched segment by far being Grand Theft Auto V (GTA), with him achieving his most successful livestreams ever on the game.

In his own words, RDjavi is a videographer and car lover whose aim is to give viewers quality content via his channels. He is another Spanish-speaking influencer who has invested in the Kings League as co-owner of Americas team Los Chamos FC alongside Donato "TheDonato" Muñoz and Flavio Andres "Yolo" Broianigo Munoz. He has also parlayed this success on screen into other ventures, including making music, with No Me Vendo and La Para De La Ciudad being some of his well-known songs.

#6 David "davooxeneize" Quint

Davooxeneize is an Argentine streamer primarily known for his football-related content on platforms like Twitch and YouTube. He is a passionate Boca Juniors fan and often discusses football news, debates, and analyses on his streams.

While not strictly a gamer, the 22-year-old's football-centric content has made him a popular figure in the Argentine streaming scene in 2024. Many of his most popular livestreams have come over the past few months when watching tournaments like Copa America, Copa Argentina, and Copa Sudamericana (South America's secondary club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL).

His ability to connect with fans through his passion for football has solidified his position as a prominent figure in the online community and made him Argentina's second-most-watched influencer in 2024. It has to be noted that apart from talking about football with his viewers, Davooxeneize has also been playing EA Sports FC 25 in 2024.

#5 Andy "ElZeein" Merino

Breaking the dominance of countries like Colombia, Mexico, and Argentina on this LATAM list is Peru's biggest content creator, ElZeein. He runs channels on Twitch and Kick, with his cumulative watch time in 2024 almost split equally between these two livestreaming services.

His most preferred game on both platforms has been GTA V, while most of his main content revolves around the Just Chatting, Travel & Outdoors, and IRL categories. The 32-year-old has also actively covered matches from the Kings League (he is the owner of the Americas team Persas FC), with many of his broadcasts on Kick covering the Kings World Cup ending among his channel's most popular streams.

On Twitch, his most popular livestream came from earlier in 2024, when he covered the Luminy Awards 2024. It is an annual ceremony created in 2023 to recognize the best streamers, highlights, and content creators in Peru. The 2024 edition ended as one of the South American country's most popular livestreaming events ever.

#4 Ivan "spreen" Buhajeruk

Spreen, or ElSpreen, is another Twitch streamer who has given Argentina pride of place on the global livestreaming map. He has consistently been one of his country's most-watched names over the past few years, ranking within the global top 30 for 2022 and 2023.

Having been such a pivotal part of the purple platform's LATAM brigade, the 24-year-old's sudden move to Kick in September 2024 came as a surprise. What made the decision all the more shocking was the fact that he was so close to joining the coveted 10 million followers club, with his current count reading at 9,613,633 million followers.

However, Spreen's reasoning was pretty simple: a single broadcast on the new platform would earn him as much as he did over an entire month on Twitch. This extra earning potential would provide him with financial stability and allow him to invest in some ambitious projects. He has so far done pretty well, entering the Stake-backed platform's top 15 yearly rankings for channels by watch time despite only debuting at the end of September.

Outside the streaming bubble, the amateur football player courted trouble with Argentine Football Association authorities in November 2024 after making headlines by briefly playing professional football for Deportivo Riestra in the Argentine Primera Division. While his appearance was short-lived, it was labeled a stunt by the media and sparked significant controversy and debate within the football community.

#3 Stiven "mrstiventc" Caicedo

Among all the Latin American streamers named on this top ten list, MrStivenTC has shown the biggest year-on-year improvement. His cumulative watch has shot up by 476% on Kick, his primary platform, despite a jump of just 70% in his airtime, showing that he has been capturing a larger audience base across 2024.

The Colombian content creator is particularly known for his expertise in Garena Free Fire, the game that made him famous. He has remained loyal to this mobile battle royale shooter, which is his most-watched game last year. His main content has involved the Just Chatting genre, sharing entertaining vlogs and challenges, and collaborating with other renowned names from the region.

Interestingly, the 24-year-old's Pools, Hot Tubs & Bikinis broadcasts have attracted quite a few viewers in 2024. It is among his most popular categories over the past 12 months despite only having four such streams, helped by appearances from Instagram influencers Manolito "Manolito" Rojas and DJ Camii.

#2 ironmouse

IronMouse is a prominent VTuber, singer, and Twitch streamer who has made significant strides in the online streaming community in 2024. She is a founding member of the VTuber group VShojo and has grown to become perhaps the most famous name in this genre of live streaming in 2024.

One of her most notable achievements last year was breaking Kai Cenat's all-time subscriber record during a subathon in September. This event not only showcased the 27-year-old's immense popularity, but also raised funds for the Immune Deficiency Foundation.

Beyond her streaming success, IronMouse has also ventured into music, releasing her single "Carry On" as the ending song for the documentary "Compromised: Life Without Immunity" earlier in 2024. Her ability to connect with her audience on a personal level and her dedication to using her platform for good have made her a beloved figure in the streaming community.

Her fans, known as Ironmouse Defense Force, have stayed with her every step of the way in the Puerto Rican's journey from being bedridden to breaking Twitch records. Once reliant on oxygen and a feeding tube due to her own immune deficiency disease, she has defied the odds to become a beacon of hope for those who face daily struggles due to any kind of physical, emotional, or mental difficulties.

#1 Fernando "westcol" Alvarez

Westcol has by far been Kick's crown jewel in 2024, emerging as its most watched and most popular streamer by a distance. Having begun his streaming career as a teen with popular games like Minecraft, Counter-Strike, and Call of Duty, he has migrated to streaming parties, hip-hop, and betting/gambling content after growing in fame thanks to his unique sense of humor.

In 2024, the Colombian has continued to maintain his popularity and has been actively involved in various streaming activities. Such is his fame on the Stake-backed platform that Westcol's recent Stream Fighters 3 boxing event involving celebrity influencers and streamers became Kick’s most popular livestream.

The Medellín native was also part of the Minecraft Dedsafio series that did very well on Kick, while his contributions to other livestreaming events like Squid Craft 3 cannot be understated. He also joined up with Juansguarnizo, James Rodríguez, Anyerson "Pelicanger" Snaider, and Valeria "Laparce" to create a team to represent Colombia at the upcoming inaugural King World Cup Nations, which is part of the Kings League umbrella.
