2025 turned into one of the biggest years in Twitch’s history, with top creators pushing viewership to new heights and redefining what sustained success on the platform looks like. Several streamers delivered record-breaking performances, and for the first time, two individual creators surpassed 100 million Hours Watched within a single year. That milestone alone underlines how massive creator audiences have become and how deeply embedded Twitch is in everyday entertainment habits.
What stands out just as much as the raw numbers is the diversity behind them. The year’s best-performing Twitch creators came from very different corners of the platform: long-form gaming broadcasts, competitive esports, variety streams, talk shows and personality-driven content all found their way to the top. There was no single winning formula in 2025, only different approaches executed at an exceptional level.
In this article, Streams Charts breaks down the best-performing Twitch creators of 2025 across three complementary rankings: by overall performance measured through Hours Watched, by the scale of a creator’s biggest single moment using Peak Viewers, and by long-term consistency via Average Viewers, limited to creators who streamed 350+ hours during the year. Together, these rankings offer a full picture of who truly defined Twitch in 2025.
Top Twitch Streamers of 2025 by Hours Watched
For the second year in a row, Kai Cenat finishes 2025 as the most-watched Twitch streamer overall. While his total Hours Watched ended up slightly lower than in his record-setting 2024, that drop is largely explained by reduced airtime across the year. Even with fewer hours live, Kai remained the platform’s single biggest draw, and his flagship project, Mafiathon 3, became one of the defining moments of Twitch in 2025. During the marathon, he not only set a new all-time subscriber record across the industry but also surpassed 1 million concurrent viewers on Twitch. That achievement placed him among an extremely exclusive group of just seven individual creators in history to cross the million-viewer mark, cementing a dominant and fully deserved #1 finish.

The second creator to break the 100 million Hours Watched barrier in 2025 was Marc “Caedrel” Lamont, who continued to establish himself as the undisputed leader of esports co-streaming on Twitch. As one of the primary destinations for competitive League of Legends coverage, Caedrel benefited from a packed calendar of national and international tournaments, while also regularly co-streaming matches involving Los Ratones, the tier-2 European team he co-owns. That mix of elite competition, consistent coverage, and strong personal branding resulted in one of the strongest esports-focused performances the platform has ever seen.
Beyond the top two, the Hours Watched ranking quickly opens up. Kai Cenat and Caedrel formed a clear leading duo, but the rest of the top tier showcased remarkable diversity, both in content style and geography. While US-based creators still make up the majority, the 2025 ranking also features top performers from Japan and Spain, alongside a notable showing from Germany.

Top Twitch Streamers of 2025 by Average Viewers
As creators scale, they often reduce their overall streaming time, which naturally limits their total Hours Watched. That makes Average Viewers an equally important metric, as it reflects how large an audience a streamer consistently attracts whenever they go live. With that in mind, we also ranked the best-performing creators by Average Viewers, focusing specifically on those who remained meaningfully active on Twitch rather than streaming only a handful of times throughout the year.
This perspective reshuffles the leaderboard. While Europe’s biggest streaming star Ibai “ibai” Llanos placed just eighth by total Hours Watched, he dominates the Average Viewers ranking by a substantial margin. In 2025, Ibai averaged over 146,000 concurrent viewers, outperforming Kai Cenat, who ranked second, by 37%. The year saw Ibai shift away from traditional esports coverage and toward his own large-scale projects, including the Kings League and of course the record-breaking La Velada del Año V, which played a key role in his standout 2025 performance.

Many of the other creators featured near the top of this ranking were driven by a mix of consistent streaming schedules and strong audience engagement, each for different reasons. A significant portion of the list is made up of creators closely tied to Counter-Strike and League of Legends esports coverage, alongside traditional gaming-focused streamers such as Case “CaseOh” Baker and talk-based creators like Zack “zackrawrr” Hoyt (Asmongold).
Two French creators also secured spots in the top 10 thanks to standout events in 2025. Lucas “Squeezie” Hauchard hosted the third edition of his GP Explorer racing competition, which set a new viewership record for his channel. At the same time, Mohamed Amine Mahmoud, widely known as aminematue, played a central role in organizing Stream for Humanity, one of the most prominent livestream-based charity initiatives of the year.

Top Twitch Streamers of 2025 by Peak Viewers
When focusing on Twitch’s single-moment achievements in 2025, three creators crossed the one million concurrent viewers threshold, an exceptional milestone by any standard. However, when placed next to the year’s leader, the rest of the field can appear less impressive at first glance. In practice, this gap reflects just how far Ibai pushed the limits, setting a new industry benchmark so high that matching it may be unrealistic not only in the next year, but for several years ahead.
La Velada del Año V, which we have already highlighted, was not only the most-watched entertainment livestream of 2025, but also represented a dramatic leap forward compared to the previous edition. The event peaked at 9.33 million concurrent viewers, more than doubling last year’s 3.8 million. At this point, it’s difficult to see anyone other than Ibai setting the next ceiling for what a Twitch livestream can achieve.

The one-million-viewer milestone was also reached by Squeezie during GP Explorer, and by Kai Cenat during the finale of Mafiathon 3, capped off by a headline-grabbing moment when LeBron James appeared on stream to shave his head live. The rest of the creators featured in the ranking recorded peak audiences in the 350,000 to 750,000 viewers range, with the majority of these peaks fueled by co-streamed esports broadcasts.
