Just Chatting was again in first place among the categories. The category got 30 million more Hours Watched than in November. Thanks to the New Year's Day streams, the category increased its statistics. For example, on December 31 Ibai wished its viewers a happy 2022 year and attracted 801K Peak Viewers, which improved the category's results on the last day of 2021.

GTA V remained in second place, but lost 17 million Hours Watched. Meanwhile, Valorant replaced League of Legends and took third place in the top-3 Twitch categories. This was due to VALORANT Champions 2021, the final tournament in the discipline's esports season, which drew 1 million Peak Viewers, setting a discipline record.

Escape From Tarkov ranked fifth. The game hasn't been in the top 10 categories on the platform for a while, but managed to make a comeback thanks to a New Year's Eve event and Twitch Drops (broadcast viewing gifts). The game' s Hours Watched increased 7 times compared with November and moved up 35 spots in the rankings.

Fortnite increased its Hours Watched by 30% thanks to the second chapter final and the new update. Call of Duty: Warzone also returned to the top.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive had a sharp drop: the category went down 6 positions, losing 46% of Hours Watched. The BLAST Premier Fall 2021 Finals held in November improved the category's performance, but there were no major tournaments in December, so the category dropped in statistics.
