On October 26-27 first major events were held in the new Call of Duty: Warzone mode — Iron Trials ‘84. Twitch Rivals hosted events for European and North American streamers with a $75,000 prize pool for each tournament. Read more on the new features of the event, its results and viewership statistics in the new article by Streams Charts.

What’s special about Twitch Rivals Iron Trials Showdown?

At the end of September, Call of Duty: Warzone had a big Season 5 update under the title Reloaded. Besides new operators and balance changes gamers also got access to the new game mode with a higher difficulty — Iron Trials ‘84.

New game mode offers several major changes compared to the classic mode. Maximum HP is increased from the start, but the health regeneration speed is reduced heavily, sniper rifles and stun grenades are nerfed, and only a limited number of vehicles is available.

New game mode was in a test period for several weeks, but now it’s available in custom lobbies. Twitch Rivals Iron Trials Showdown was the first big event in the new game mode with top Warzone streamers from North America and Europe participating in two events of the series.

Twitch Rivals Iron Trials Showdown Results and Viewership Statistics

The first event was held among popular content creators from North America, including FaZe member Swagg, Aydan from NYSL, as well as HusKerrs and Dallas Empire player shotzzy. Over 140 streamers played in the event in the trio squads.

129 Twitch channels broadcasted the event, and over 116.4K concurrent viewers watched the games at peak. On average, 87K people tuned in to watch the event, and in four and a half hours it collected over 391K Hours Watched.

The most popular streamer of the event was Aydan who attracted over 24K Peak Viewers. It’s 25% more than Swagg had, who is ranked 2nd by the metric. Top 3 is closed by Z_laner who had 13K viewers at peak. All these streamers also became the leaders by Hours Watched metric, and Aydan yet again became the leader with 73.4K.

ItsEyeQew team became the winners of the event, in five matches they scored 134.1 points, which is 20+ more than their closest pursuer, Team bbreadman. Winners of the event took home $15K ($5K for each player of the team).

The NA event was followed by the EU one. Lots of prominent streamers and former pro players took part in the tournament, including Counter-Strike legend GeT_RiGhT, Fnatic player Moonryde and winner of several Twitch Rivals Warzone events — streamer Recrent from Natus Vincere.

The event was broadcasted on 132 channels, which helped the EU tournament to outperform Na one by viewership stats. Peak Viewers number was 118K, and Average Viewers — 94K. However, the EU event collected less Hours Watched since it was for half an hour less on air.

It should also be noted that the EU event was much more diverse in terms of languages of the broadcast. Over 15K Peak Viewers were on English, Russian, Spanish, Italian and German-speaking streams.

The most popular streamer of the event was Recrent with 20.5K Peak Viewers. It’s 26% more than Twitch Rivals' official channel had, which is ranked 2nd. Top 3 is closed by Moonryde with 8.4K Peak Viewers. All these channels also became leaders by Hours Watched metric.

Competition in Europe turned out to be much higher than in North America. Team FlexZ became the winners of the tournament: it was ahead of the Phyzikk team by only one and a half points! At the same time, four teams at once scored over 80 points.

Soon the finals of the major Warzone tournament The Last Dance in Verdansk will take place. Three of its qualifications have already passed, and the decisive battles are scheduled for November 2. We will definitely recap the results of the event, so subscribe to our social networks to not miss any updates!
