At the end of last week the largest Call of Duty: Warzone community tournament ended — Twitch Rivals x World Series of Warzone #2. The event featured some of the most famous Warzone content makers in North America, and the event had a $400K prize money pool — a record for the discipline ($300K in the doubles competition and $100K in the solo event). Streams Charts will tell you about the results of the event and its viewership statistics.
Twitch Rivals x World Series of Warzone #2 included 75 duos from North America. They all featured one of five streamers who in turn picked their teammates — HusKerrs, Swagg, TeePee, Scump and ShawnJGaming were the captains.
Start of the tournament was marked with a funny episode: an unknown person hacked the camera of one of the captains of the tournament — HusKerrs — and for a few seconds was showing the audience his middle finger. None of the hosts and streamers did pay much attention to this, but the audience had a lot of fun. HusKerrs later said as a joke that thus he addressed frustration with Raven Sofrware, the developers of Warzone.
Tournament viewership statistics
The tournament was on air for just six hours and in that time it accumulated more than 1.1 million Hours Watched. The tournament matches were watched by 186,1K Average Viewers, and a Peak Viewers number of 232K spectators was reached at the solo tournament.
Twitch Rivals x World Series of Warzone #2 streamer Swagg had the highest Hours Watched number of 106.3K hours. In second place was Scump with 104.2K Hours Watched. The winner of the solo tournament also had the highest Peak Viewers number — 59K people.
Twitch Rivals' official channel rounded out the top 3, only 1.3K Hours Watched behind Scump. Moreover, Twitch Rivals ranked second in terms of Peak Viewers with 26.5K people. Next was Aydan — 26.3K Peak Viewers.
Overall, the tournament showed comparable statistics to other Call of Duty: Warzone events, with almost all of them attracting 200K-250K people at their peak. The first tournament in the Twitch Rivals x World Series, which ended in June, held the lead — 441K Peak Viewers and 350K Average Viewers.
Twitch Rivals x World Series of Warzone #2 results
The highest score of the tournament went to the streamer Swagg, but the tournament's top duo was HusKerrs & Newbz who both won $40K. This is not the first victory for HusKerrs in the series — he won Twitch Rivals x Call of Duty World Series of Warzone NA #1 along with streamers Aydan and Rated back in June.
The solo tournament champion was Scump, who won $100K prize money — unlike the doubles event, all of the prize pool went to the winner. Thanks to this victory the total amount of prize money won by him in Call of Duty: Warzone exceeded one million dollars, making him one of the top 5 richest representatives of the discipline — he is only $300K behind the leader Crimsix.
