The UNO! Mobile Wildcard Series 2022: ALL-STARS joined sixteen of the biggest content creators in the world, from different platforms, but with one thing in common. All of them were battling to be crowned the first ever UNO! Mobile Wildcard Series 2022: ALL-STARS champion. The event was played online, and took place from August 12th to 28th.
With names such as Valkyrae, CouRage, QTCinderella, kkatamina, and ludwig, the tournament was destined to be a big success. For three weeks the players competed against each other. The first two weeks, it was the group stage. There the content creators played with their duos, if they won they would then advance to the playoffs, where they would play against the winners of the other group. The losers would be out of the tournament.
In the finals, you would also have the group stage, and it would be the winning duos playing against each other to see which two duos would advance to the final. In the grand final, it would be everyone for themselves, since only one could be crowned champion.
However, UNO! Mobile Wildcard Series 2022: ALL-STARS had a very interesting mechanic. The tournament had a popularity vote allowing two of the duos that were eliminated in earlier in the tournament to qualify directly for the finals. The viewers decided to bring back Valkyrae, Sykkuno, lilypichu, and kkatamina to the finals.
The Grand Final saw OrangeJuice, kkatamina, lilypichu, and bentimm1 fight among themselves for the trophy. In the end, it was lilypichu who stood alone at the top, and was crowned the first ever UNO! Mobile Wildcard Series 2022: ALL-STARS winner.
Viewership Stats
The event was able to achieve some solid viewership numbers, with viewers watching the event for 235K hours. The tournament was streamed for almost 10 hours, and 51.3K viewers simultaneously watched the broadcast. UNO! Mobile Wildcard Series 2022: ALL-STARS had 24.3K Average Viewers. With such a star-stacked event, it's normal that viewers would be interested to see who was going to come out on top.
Ludwig stream had the most hours watched with 54K, which makes sense since he was the host of the tournament, and was present from the first to the last day of the event. Valkyrae comes in second with her viewers watching 48K hours. Despite being eliminated in the group's stage, the popular vote brought her back, and allowed her to play in the finals. The same happened to Sykkuno, who had 41K hours watched, and closes the top three of most watched streamers.
When it comes to Peak Viewers, it was unonow, the official UNO! game page on Facebook, which had the biggest number of simultaneous viewers at 15.1K. Once again Valkyrae was a very close second with 15K PV, just less 154 viewers than the unonow stream. The third most popular streamer was Ludwig. One of the hosts of the event, Ludwig had 12K viewers simultaneously watching his stream.
YouTube was by far the platform where the event was watched the most, having 1.8 million views. In total, the event had 3.6 million views, through all the platforms it was streamed on. The English broadcasts were the most watched with 51K PV, while the Portuguese broadcasts came in second with 5K Peak Viewers.
It's safe to say that the tournament was a huge success, and we should expect a second edition of the UNO! Mobile Wildcard Series 2022: ALL-STARS in the near future. With more big names in the content creation world coming together to make yet another memorable event.
