AI VTuber Neuro-sama has done it again. Having started the year by shattering the Twitch Hype Train record, the popular streamer has ended 2025 by doing the same, this time, beating her own mark.
Neuro-sama is an Artificial Intelligence VTubing model created by the British developer and a level 5 certified hacker, Vedal. In January 2025, she beat the previous Twitch Hype Train milestone that another popular platform star, Jason Thor "PirateSoftware" Hall, had held since 2024.
Many thought that the two would do battle for the foreseeable future to see if PirateSoftware could reclaim the milestone or if Neuro-sama could retain/bear her mark. The latter case turned out to be true, as the channel surpassed this mark just a few days into the VTuber's third birthday subathon.
Neuro-sama broke her own global Twitch Hype Train record during a December 23 livestream, reaching Level 123 with 118,989 subscriptions and over 1,000,073 Bits contributed. The event nearly completed Level 124, easily surpassing her earlier achievement from this year.
Twitch's Hype Train is a lesser-known feature, but one that its streamers value dearly. This time-limited event gets triggered when there is a surge in viewer support activity, i.e., an increase in the number of subs or bits received by the streamer.
Once activated, the community has five minutes to get to the next level (which then resets the counter). The challenge lies in the fact that it becomes increasingly difficult to reach each subsequent level, as it requires more and more support, via subs and bits, to achieve.

That is why the Twitch Hype Train record is so cherished, as it often creates milestone spikes in the content creator's viewership, gifted subscriptions and special messages in the chat using bits. Viewers also earn special emotes by helping these influencers reach certain levels.
Neuro-sama's continued dominance of this feature underscores the growing power of AI and VTuber content in driving Twitch monetization through interactive features like Hype Trains. As someone who has emerged as one of Twitch's most-watched VTubers, it could lead to a new wave of creators experimenting with automated or niche personas for higher sub and Bit revenue.
