With esports events in full swing yet again, most of the top YouTube Gaming channels in June came from this category. In fact, official organization handles that covered the various events happening across the globe dominated the top ten watch time leaderboard, with only three streamers able to break into this list. Moreover, League of Legends and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang maintained their dominance, while the presence of VTubers dwindled yet again.
Top YouTube Gaming channels in June 2024
The MPL Indonesia account tops last month's list with 7.73M Hours Watched on the back of another successful season of the highly popular regional league, MPL Indonesia Season 13. It was just the second event in the MLBB Professional League to pass 100M HW, which is what helped it top these standings despite running for only the first nine days of the month. The MLBB competition also ended as one of the more popular ones in the series, continuing to showcase Indonesia as perhaps the most significant and crucial market for the game globally.
Next comes the only VTuber to make this top ten list, as Kuzuha Channel's 159 hours of airtime helped him notch 7.10M HW. He concentrated a lot on Grand Theft Auto V and Capcom Street Fighter 6, with the former helping him gain 40,000 followers across June. It was also a return to the top ten for the Japanese star after missing out over the last few months.
Rounding off the podium is the official channel of Liên Quân Mobile eSports-Garena, the Vietnamese version of Arena of Valor, called Garena Liên Quân Mobile. It was the only other entry to cross 6M HW thanks to the live streams of the ongoing Arena of Valor Premier League 2024, which began on June 12 and will run till July 7. The event seems on course to match the numbers put up by the record-setting Arena of Valor Premier League 2023, so fans will be staying tuned to see what happens come the Grand Final during the weekend.
Fourth is KRAFTON INDIA ESPORTS, which covers all things related to Battlegrounds Mobile India, the Indian version of PUBG Mobile. The base game was highly popular in the country before its ban, which is when BGMI was introduced, and it has carried on the legacy of the KRAFTON offering despite recent obstacles that included its own suspension for a period.
The last entry in the top five is the official channel of LCK, the most popular regional league on LoL's annual esports calendar. With the latest iteration, the LCK Summer 2024, and its Challengers league, the LCK CL Summer 2024, beginning in the second week of June, fans can expect the channel to make the July list as well and perhaps create more viewership history.
Another official LCK channel, the Vietnamese language one, also made the top ten after settling for the eighth spot. We also have the channels of two Portuguese superstars, NOBRU and BaianoTV, making the top ten, with both seeing massive monthly watch time rises of over 140% thanks to covering their favorite games, Garena Free Fire and LoL.
The last two entries are the official Garena RoV Thailand and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Indonesia channels. The latter was covering the various regional and developmental leagues, while the former was busy live broadcasting action from the Arena of Valor Premier League 2024, whose Upper Bracket Final will see Buriram United face BanMei Gaming while GG Live and Flash Wolves face off in the Lower Bracket Semifinal.
Moving to streamers, apart from the three already mentioned above, there were the likes of Miko Ch., Pekora Ch., ローレン・イロアス / Lauren Iroas【にじさんじ】, and Subaru Ch. This meant that this top ten leaderboard was dominated by VTubers, who took up half of the places to show that when it comes to individual channels, they arguably have no equals.
Indian YouTube star LoLzZz Gaming also retained his place in the top ten from May, with his content covering Battlegrounds Mobile India and its only tournament in June, the Fearless Championship Series Season 1, won by Enigma Gaming. Jonathan Liandi and Ludwig round off these standings, solidifying the statuses as the biggest YouTubers from their nations, Indonesia and the US, respectively.
YouTube Gaming US streamers in June 2024
DrDisRespect and IShowSpeed maintained their spots in the podium places after finishing in the top two in May. However, it was Ludwig who ended up sealing the top spot thanks to his gameplays of Elden Ring and its newest expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, which ended up shaking up Twitch upon its release on June 21.
Valkyrae also retained her top-five place, in fact climbing up a spot to finish fourth among American streamers in June. Following her is the highly popular Roblox creator KreekCraft, who continued to impress fans with his content on the game. TimTheTatman had to settle for a place outside the top five after finishing third in May, although he was also a large reason for Elden Ring doing so well post the DLC release.
Renowned Call of Duty creator ZooMaa Live also made the top ten thanks to his coverage of the Call of Duty League 2024's last Major and its qualifiers. Swagg made it three months in a row in this top ten after hitting 587K HW, with his most preferred game being COD (Warzone) as well. There were also fuslie and DrLupo, who usually play a variety of games and collaborate with other creators frequently.
YouTube Gaming European channels in June 2024
The top spot was taken up by the official channels of two renowned organizers in the esports community. PGL topped the table with 1.53M HW thanks to covering the various regional qualifiers for its biggest event of the year, The International 13.
Meanwhile, BLAST Premier finished second thanks to its prominent Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competition, BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024. The first seasonal final of this Danish organization in 2024 ranked fifth in peak viewership across all BLAST Premier events and the most popular tournament of the series in the last two years.
Popular Russian Minecraft creator EdisonPts took up the third spot thanks to this continued effort to provide fans with quality content on the sandbox game. Another official CS channel, ESL Counter-Strike, made it to this leaderboard due to live broadcasting of various prominent tournaments of the much-followed organizer, ESL, and a prominent event like the IEM Dallas 2024, which was won by G2 Esports.
The other channels to make this top ten cover numerous prominent titles, including ARK Survival Ascended and Brawl Stars. It is also worth pointing out that Spanish sensation Nexxuz World continues to make such lists to prove his mettle and reinforce his status as one of his country's foremost names on the red platform.
