After three months, Forsen regains Minecraft speedrun record from xQc

After three months, Forsen regains Minecraft speedrun record from xQc
Share:

It seems the Minecraft speedrun feud between Forsen and xQc is far from over if the former’s newest feat is anything to go by. He held the record until earlier this year before his Canadian colleague beat it in January and took over the mantle, but the Swede did not back down and has reclaimed the run by shaving nearly two minutes off the mark.

For those unaware, after two years of grinding, xQc finally set a record time of 20 minutes and 5 seconds to beat Forsen’s 2021 mark of 20 minutes and 38 seconds. However, the latter decided he would not be beaten, and after almost two months of his own grind, set a new record time of 18 minutes and 10 seconds.

Forsen even took the time to call out his foe on social media, with the latter responding that he would “see you in a week.” Until xQc comes back with a fitting response, the new record holder can take pride in his latest achievement and the viewership numbers he put up, as detailed by Streams Charts below.

Forsen’s lengthy speedrun record chase pulled in great viewership numbers

Forsen's channel saw a rise in numbers his year as he chased xQc's Minecraft speedrun record  Some important stats from Forsen's channel this year

Ever since he began the journey to reclaim his record, Forsen has been pulling in great numbers, with almost all the vital metrics rising. He also gained 45K followers during this time, showing that he earned more than just a record as a result of this endeavor.

He also streamed Minecraft for 80% of this screen time in 2023, a significant amount of time to devote to a chase that ultimately did bear fruit. Importantly, his Live View count saw a significant rise of 91% over this phase, as did the stream count for the period.

However, when looking at the stats for the day he broke the record, i.e., March 22, there was a slight decrease in the Average Viewers and Hours Watched counts. This can be attributed to the fact that audiences realized he had finally broken the record they had invested so much time into.

Knowing that xQc will look to reclaim his record once again, fans can expect more such high numbers from these two streamers over the next few months. Until then, Forsen remains the king of the Minecraft speedrun.
