The day of the official Cyberpunk 2077 release has arrived. We summed up the statistical results of the event, but were the Poles able to cause a furor on Twitch? Let's find out.
CD Project RED granted press access to streamers and journalists so that you could see Night City before the official game release. All the results of the pre-release you can find in a separate article.
Overall stats of Cyberpunk 2077, which was on December 10
In total, Cyberpunk 2077 gained 15M Hours Watched and improved its results by 32,4% compared to pre-release. But the game didn't experience an increase in Peak Viewers because most of the spectators probably watched the game on the pre-release streams and went to play by themselves.
1M players explored Night City simultaneously an hour after its official release on Steam. Moreover, Cyberpunk 2077 became the fourth game by the number of simultaneous players online. Above it, only PUBG, CS:GO, and Dota 2.
Shroud remained in its position by Hours Watched on December 10. Cohhcarnage is in second place, but with a notable gap by stats. At the same time, Cyberpunk gifted the record to hist channel - 73K Peak Viewers during the pre-release day.
Auronplay displaced Shroud and Rubius by Peak Viewers on release day. In just 3,6 hours, he reached 111K viewers at the peak. It's worth noting that on the second day after release, xQc ran a stream for only 20 minutes, but it was watched by 51K concurrent viewers.
Same situation with Pokimane, the top-1 female streamer for Q3 2020. She didn't stream even for an hour, but she appeared in the top-10 channels of release day by peak mark.
We've also gathered top-20 Twitch clips of the release day, and, in addition to the fun reactions to the naked bodies in the character editor, the streams were full of moments with gameplay bugs. This is a bad side of Cyberpunk 2077, as the release date has been postponed three times. The first updates have already started to arrive, but it should still be plenty of time for a full game polishing.
The game has reached 27,2M Hours Watched for two days and became TOP-2 category by Peak Channels in the Twitch history - 35K streamers broadcast the game simultaneously. English-speaking viewers were leading for two days, but Spanish and Portuguese spectators were behind them.
Shroud became TOP-1 streamer for two days - 2,4M Hours Watched. But Rubius from Spain was leading by Peak Viewers. During the pre-release day, his channel was watched by 135K Viewers.
