What has helped is the quality of its streamer line-up, with names like Ludwig, Valkyrae, TimTheTatman, and Sykkuno continuing to change the game and attract millions of viewers.
With Twitch facing lots of issues and Kick/Rumble still in the early stages of their runs, the red platform has done a splendid job of taking advantage of the uncertainty among audiences by churning out newsworthy content. This helped it reach almost 497M Hours Watched, an impressive number that played a part in achieving an overall platform record of 3.2B HW last month, while the number of average concurrent viewers is also at an all-time high.
Basically, it's an awesome time to be a fan/employee/content creator of the Google-owned site. With that in mind, here are the names that played a big part in YouTube Gaming's consistent displays in August.

The streamer with the highest view count for last month is jun channel, a new entrant on this series of rankings, after notching 4.22M HW — 41.6% better than the next-best entry. The Japanese YouTuber is big on playing and covering activities related to Super Mario Maker 2 and Pokemon Platinum Version; he also broadcasted the Japanese women's teams' games from the FIFA Women's World Cup, where they reached the Quarter-finals.
At number two is NOBRU, the highly sought-after Free Fire player and streamer from Brazil. With a multitude of tournaments going on in the country, including the Liga Brasileira de Free Fire 2023, where a slot at the Free Fire World Series 2023 was at stake, he was pretty busy. Moreover, his team, Fluxo, was also in action at these events, helping bring in many viewers interested in the results.

The last five names on this list include platform legends like TimTheTatman and DrDisRespect, who are known for their awesome content and being big draws among fans. Windah Basudara is a major name in the Asian FIFA Mobile scene and LoLzZz Gaming is a big part of the Indian BGMI ecosystem. The last name, 兄者弟者, has been playing a lot of two new games — The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Starfield — helping him get into this top ten.
Atop this list is DjMaRiiO, who is another renowned name in the Spanish gaming community. The influencer has been playing a lot of EA SPORTS FC 24, the first iteration of this game after FIFA and EA Sports' split, and fans have been eager to see what is new and what they can expect once it comes out at the end of September.

This game was the battleground where various VTubers fought it out during the Nijisanji Koshien 2023 baseball event, and what makes his feat so impressive is that he only had four streams across August to get to this spot.
Next is IShowSpeed, a name on everyone's lips right now and a recent recipient of the Variety Streamer award at the prestigious Streamy Awards 2023. The youngster has gradually carved a niche in the industry and become one of the biggest names on YouTube's large roster of content creators, even ending as the most popular American YouTube Gaming streamer in Q1 2023.
Fourth is Jonathan Liandi, with the following name being 東海オンエア, which benefitted from its entertaining two-day Only Up! broadcast. The group, known as TokaiOnAir, consists of six members and mostly delves into the Entertainment and Comedy genres. They began posting on YouTube in 2013 and are currently signed to Japan's leading influencer marketing agency, UUUM
Two of the next five names have also made the most-watched list, with two others — MixiGaming and GamerFleet — primarily focusing on Minecraft. BrandonKent Everything, meanwhile, is another broadcaster who puts out a lot of content related to MLBB.

MPL Indonesia leads the list of most watched organization channels on YouTube Gaming with 9.36M HW. As the biggest market for MLBB esports globally, this country regularly tops the stats charts and breaks/creates records within the discipline.
Next is the official LCK channel, which was busy with the LCK Summer 2023 and the LCK Regional Finals 2023. It was a successful split for this regional league, which built on the success of the spring split to become the most popular event in the series of all time.
Third is Sensa Gaming GG, which is run by people who ‘share slot tips and tricks wrapped in humor so that everyone is entertained.’ A feature of this channel is the sheer volume of videos it puts out, meaning its monthly airtime is on average more than 500 hours, which is a huge number for any handle across platforms.
GACOR GAMING 2 is fourth, with the Indonesian organization climbing up two spots from the previous month's table. It is another account that deals with slots and casino-related content, with the moderators also 'leaking information on the latest gacor slot patterns' for users, in their own words.
The last entry in the top five is にじさんじ, Nijisanji's official channel on the red platform that benefitted hugely from the Nijisanji Koshien 2023 baseball event. For those unaware, this event sees participating streamers play against each other using avatars that represent their likeness.
The last five entries consist of three esports-related channels — LCK 라이브 (official Vietnamese account), Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and VALORANT Champions. Mobile Legends : Bang Bang Indonesia, MLBB eSports, 原神-Genshin-公式, Bandai Namco Entertainment, and chess24 were the five other org handles to make this top ten leaderboard for August. Apart from covering various tournaments and events, these accounts also presented fans with special showcases like Bandai Namco's release of the much-awaited smartphone game, One Piece Bounty Rush, and Genshin Impact's special stream about the upcoming Version 4.0, which included some redemption codes and other goodies for users.

August's leader is once again Pekora Ch, with hololive’s seemingly strengthening its presence and grip on the VTuber industry with the sheer number of its creators making this standings. Koyori ch, Subaru Ch, Koseki Bijou Ch, Korone Ch, Lui ch, Luna Ch, and Miko Ch take up seven more spots on this top ten leaderboard.
Valkyrae, one of the biggest names from YouTube plying her trade in the content creation sphere, makes a rare entry on such a list at the sixth position. The sole remaining slot is taken by Nijisanji’s Shiina Yuika, the head coach of the Nijisanji HS team that clinched the Nijisanji Koshien 2023 title, thus helping her bring in lots of eyeballs.
A lot of the names here are repeated from the above list, although hololive got four more new entrants in the form of フブキCh。白上フブキ in third, Marine Ch in fourth, Aqua Ch in eighth, and Noel Ch in tenth. Nijisanji also a few more names making a top ten in the form of ニュイ・ソシエール in sixth, リゼ・ヘルエスタ -Lize Helesta-, and 樋口楓【にじさんじ所属】.
It is clear that such YouTube Gaming lists will see dominance from VTubers, esports channels, and Asian handles for the foreseeable future as it has more or less captured these markets. How the likes of Kick, Rumble, and Twitch attempt to make entries over the next few months and years will be a fascinating watch.
