Ironmouse, one of the most popular VTubers on Twitch, has announced her departure from the talent agency VShojo, which she had been part of since 2020. Her decision to leave was made based on a financial scandal involving the agency, a topic she addressed in a dedicated video.
Ironmouse explained that, for privacy and safety reasons, all transactions on her behalf were previously managed by VShojo. Following her record-breaking subathon, she asked the agency to donate a portion of the proceeds — around $500,000 — to the Immune Deficiency Foundation. Ironmouse has been diagnosed with Common Variable Immunodeficiency, a chronic immune disorder, and the organization had supported her during some of her most difficult times. However, even a year later, VShojo had yet to transfer the promised donation to the foundation.
“I know this is a lot, and it’s really important for me to be honest with you. I really want to tell you everything, but unfortunately for now, I have been instructed by my attorney to wait for more of the legal procedure to unfold. <...> The Immune Deficiency Foundation is owed over half a million dollars from VShojo. As of right now, I am an independent VTuber.”

Ironmouse will continue streaming as an independent VTuber. She stated that she remains committed to showing the world that VTubing is still a “force for good.” Her fans responded to the news with overwhelming support and respect — and have already raised more than $300,000 in donations for the Immune Deficiency Foundation.
Over five years with VShojo, Ironmouse’s streams accumulated more than 85.5 million Hours Watched. Her peak live viewership hit 45,600, with an average concurrent audience of just over 8,000 viewers throughout that time. In 2024, she became the most-subscribed Twitch streamer of all time, surpassing Kai Cenat's first record during a September 2024 subathon, before being surpassed herself by Cenat during a November 2024 subathon.

Ironmouse is one of the most popular female streamers on Twitch. In the first half of 2025, she ranked second in total watch hours — just behind Emily ''Emiru'' Schunk — but she remains the undisputed top VTuber on the platform.

In Q2 2025, Ironmouse ranked 79th among all Twitch streamers based on total watch hours. During that time, she primarily streamed in the Just Chatting and IRL categories, but also played hit titles like Death Stranding 2 and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
It’s clear that VShojo is going through a difficult period. While Ironmouse’s departure is the agency’s biggest loss, she’s not the only one to leave. Earlier this year, VTubers Zentreya, GEEGA, and MataraKan also parted ways with the company — and all of them have since continued streaming as independent creators.
