Darren ‘’IShowSpeed’’ Watkins Jr has become one of the most popular content creators in the world. This is backed up not only by his Streamer of the Year award at The Streamer Awards 2024, but also by the millions of viewers he has on YouTube. Last year, IShowSpeed hosted two massively popular IRL-marathons where he traveled across Europe and Southeast Asia. At the start of 2025, the YouTuber kicked off another tour, this time visiting several countries in South America.

During this new IRL-marathon, IShowSpeed traveled to 11 countries in two weeks, checked out tons of landmarks, interacted with fans, celebrated his 20th birthday, got a personal shout-out from his idol Cristiano Ronaldo, and hit 35,000,000 subscribers on YouTube.
IShowSpeed’s South American adventure ran from January 12 to 29. Over that time, he streamed for a total of about 27 hours across 10 broadcasts. His streams racked up over 4,900,000 Hours Watched, with an average of around 182,545 viewers per stream.
The biggest stream of IShowSpeed’s tour happened in Peru, where his broadcast peaked at 487,734 viewers. That day, the streamer met with Rafael López Aliaga, the Mayor of Lima, who handed over his duties to IShowSpeed for one hour. For that hour, youtuber was essentially the mayor of Lima and even got his own police motorcade.
The police escort came in handy for IShowSpeed, as he soon had to make a quick getaway from hundreds of fans chasing his car on motorcycles and scooters (there was even a minor accident). So far, this has been his most popular stream of 2025 and the sixth most-viewed in the history of his channel.
Besides Peru, IShowSpeed also had successful streams in Chile and Argentina, each hitting around 340,000 peak viewers. In Chile, he had a blast riding roller coasters at an amusement park and joining a local carnival, while in Argentina, he cruised around Buenos Aires with bikers and met tons of fans of Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona.
It was in Argentina where he celebrated his 20th birthday and got a personal shout-out from Cristiano Ronaldo on Instagram (which went viral, becoming one of the most-liked posts on the platform).
IShowSpeed’s South American marathon ended up being the shortest of all his tours. Still, the streams from South America outperformed his European ones in both average and peak viewership. His Southeast Asia tour, however, still holds the top spot for viewer stats.
While streaming his marathon through Southeast Asia in Indonesia, a streamer hit a personal milestone by attracting over 1 million viewers at once — a total of 1,043,028, to be exact. However, the South America tour could have potentially drawn an even larger audience. Unfortunately, the streamer had a packed schedule and frequently ran into technical issues and spotty internet, especially in Paraguay.
IShowSpeed hasn’t even made it back home from his South American trip yet, and fans are already buzzing about where he’ll head next. Rumor has it, his next stop could be Africa or Australia.
