On the heels of finally hitting the 100K Hours Watched mark for a month in August, Kick on September 1 announced its official new community website on social media. It will be the 'hub for all things Kick Community' as per the company, and fans can 'catch the latest community programs & events, announcements, and much more.'
The site currently has tabs where users can access the following:
- Changelogs: Latest updates to the Kick website and mobile applications.
- Announcements: Latest announcements from Kick.com
- User Stories: Fans can submit their Kick streaming stories for a chance to be featured on the Kick Community website. They have to fill out a form attached to this page.
- Community Events: View all upcoming and past events on Kick.
- Side Kicks: A new community program where selected volunteers will be involved in assisting the moderation team, assisting streamers, assisting viewers, and translating announcements with the potential of incentives and growth within the organization.
- Streamer Showcase: A collection of 1 post
Getting back to the August viewership stats, Kick recorded its highest watch hour figure since launching with 102.98 HW, with its average online viewership also rising by 13%. Signing industry giants like xQc, Amouranth, and yourrage has certainly helped it cause, although its ability to bring in such prominent names so early into its run is a testament to the work done so far.
Just Chatting, which grew by a whopping 33% from July, and Slots & Casino continued to rule the roost when looking at the most watched games/categories. When it comes to individul channels, the likes of Adin Ross, xQc, and fousey shone in the overall list, while the likes of crystal and corvifeon led the way among women looking to challenge Amouranth's reign.
There are also links to the site's various social media handles, while fans can also access its official Discord channel. It seems to be a work in progress, but an initial inspection reveals a sleek, well-designed page that should be pretty user-friendly.
Most of Kick's streamers and fans have received this news favorably, adding to the positive atmosphere that has pervaded it recently. With records regularly being broken and created, it will be intriguing to see what the green platform can achieve over the last four months of the year.
