The first season of the Kings League Americas has finally been announced by the media football league Kings League. It will feature 12 teams from North and South America (excluding Brazil), led by popular Spanish-speaking streamers as well as former and current football players. The official announcement took place during a Twitch broadcast.
Miguel Layun, a 35-year-old defender for the Mexican national football team, has been appointed as the President of Kings League Americas. He spent the majority of his career in the Mexican club "America'' but also had the opportunity to play in Europe for Granada, Watford, Porto, Villarreal, and other clubs. A Mexican football star and one of the top scorers for the Mexican national team, Chicharito Hernández, will lead Olimpo United. He previously played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Sevilla, and currently plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy. He was the first president of the Kings League Americas, whose candidacy was announced back in August.
Another star of the league is James Rodríguez, a 32-year-old Colombian footballer who plays as a midfielder and forward. He is one of the top scorers for the Colombian national team and has played for clubs like Porto, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Everton, and others. He is currently a player for the Brazilian club São Paulo. Rodríguez will manage the team Atlético Parceros FC along with popular TikToker Pelicanger.
WestCOL is one of the most popular streamers in Colombia who is now a streamer on Kick. We predicted his participation in the Kings League Americas several months ago. Arcángel, a popular singer from Puerto Rico, will be managing the West Santos FC club alongside him.

Raniza FC is headed by two content creators — Mexican TikTok star Alana and gamer-YouTuber BarcaGamer from Uruguay. The latter is also a member of the Esos 4 community, which also includes Juan Guarnizo, the most popular streamer in Colombia and a participant in the Spanish Kings League.
Venezuelan YouTuber TheDonato has become the president of Los Chamos FC. He is one of the most popular content creators for Free Fire in Latin America. The duo Gabriel and Alex from Hermanos Montiel became known through their YouTube blogs, and they will be in charge of the Peluche Caligari club in the Kings League Americas.

Mercedes Roa, a popular Mexican streamer specializing in football content, has taken the helm of Club de Cuervos. Prominent comedian Jero Freixas has taken charge of Muchachos FC, while YouTuber Germán Garmendia will lead the Real Titán FC. It's worth noting that Garmendia participated in the boxing show match La Velada del Año, hosted by Spanish streamer ibai.
In addition to the participants, the sponsors of Kings League Américas were also announced. Companies such as Santander (the league's title sponsor), Bimbo, Sportium, McDonalds, and Adidas will support the media football league. Kings League Américas will have its own separate social media platforms, and match broadcasts will be available on a new Twitch channel .
In November 2023, participants of the Kings League Americas will hold a player draft for the teams, while organizers will conduct casting for commentators. The first season of the American media football league will begin in January 2024. A more specific schedule will be announced closer to the event.
Kings League is one of the most successful sports projects in streaming in 2023.
