On the first day, six matches were played. The most popular game featured Saudi Arabian streamer sxb's team and the Peruvian team Persas FC, led by streamer elzeein. This close contest ended with a 3-2 scoreline and attracted around 1.2 million peak viewers.
The second most-watched match was between the Peluche Caligari, led by Mexican YouTubers Escorpión Dorado and Werevertumorro, against the Belgian team Deptostra FC, assembled by YouTuber Céline Dept and Belgian superstar Eden Hazard. At its peak, over 1.19 million viewers watched the home team secure a thrilling 5-4 victory.
Among other notable matches, the Ukrainian team UA Steel suffered a crushing 0-4 defeat against Brazil's G3X FC. Ukrainian streamer Leb1ga had a chance to score a consolation goal from a penalty, but the Brazilian goalkeeper saved his shot. Similarly, Francesco Totti missed a penalty for the Italian team Stallions, but they still managed to defeat the Colombian team Medallo City with a 3-2 score.
On May 27 and 28, the remaining matches of the first round of the Swiss Round will be played, followed by the second round, where the first teams will be eliminated. Only 16 teams will advance to the playoff stage.
The most popular broadcast on the first day of the Kings World Cup was held by the Saudi streamer sxb, who is the president and ambassador of SXB FC. During the match between SXB FC and Persas FC, sxb set a personal record, attracting over 547K concurrent viewers on Kick.
Persas FC's ambassador, Peruvian streamer elzeein, also set a record on his Kick channel, with over 26.5K concurrent viewers. It's worth noting that elzeein started streaming on Kick relatively recently, with his first broadcast on the platform taking place on May 11.
Italian streamer Tumblurr achieved a personal milestone by attracting a record-breaking number of viewers. He provided coverage of the match between his team, Stallions, and the Colombian team Medallo City, amassing 194.6K concurrent viewers on Twitch. This marked a significant increase from his previous best of 78.3K peak viewers.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian streamer Leb1ga came close to surpassing his record. His livestream of the UA Steel vs. G3X FC match garnered 55.6K concurrent viewers, just 1.5K viewers shy of his most popular stream featuring singer DOROFEEVA.
As of now, the Kings World Cup holds the third position in peak online viewership among all Kings League tournaments. The leading spots are still dominated by the first two seasons of the men's league, which peaked at 2.1 million and 1.3 million concurrent viewers, respectively. However, with the tournament just beginning, the Kings World Cup can significantly enhance its ranking in the series.
