Irish content creators and streamers have been around since the early days of streaming and video websites. Providing honest personalities and specifically Irish humour and wit, a handful of Irish content creators are well-known by almost everyone in the Internet content cultural sphere. Throughout this article, the cultural power of Irish content creators and the currently most-followed streamers will be surveyed.

Similar to British dry wit, Irish humour and entertainment are steeped in sarcasm, irony, and simply poking fun and everyone, everything, and whatever comes to mind. Although only a small island country, Ireland has produced some of the largest and most successful content creators in the industry. Everyone knows the classic top of the morning to ya’ YouTube intro, even if you don’t watch jacksepticeye.

Irish content creators do stand out from most of the rest of European streamers in one regard: language. Many content creators in Europe are faced with a dilemma — do you speak English and reach a wider audience or speak your native language and appeal to a more local fanbase? Of course, a larger and more diverse viewership is desirable for any streamer, however, a local more targeted demographic could be the right choice for a specific content creator.

Streams Charts recently took a look at the most-followed Italian content creators, and it's clear to see that many of them have made the decision to produce Italian content for Italian fans. While speaking Italian is a crucial aspect, it's not the whole story. When an Italian content creator chooses to speak Italian and produce Italian-language content, they know their target demographic has now massively shrunk to include largely only Italian people. This assists content creators in mindfully creating videos and streams to best connect with and engage their audience.

In contrast, Irish content creators’ native language will be English. This leaves Irish content creators with a unique attribute, mainly contained to streamers from the United States or the United Kingdom; they can more easily attract a wider global audience whilst also appealing to a localised national audience with their distinct cultural identity. Whereas other international streamers may Americanise their accent, personality, and content — consciously or not, Irish streamers have the opportunity to represent an Irish cultural identity and fluently express this in English.

For these reasons, Irish content creators occupy a unique niche in the streaming world. The pure fact of their Irishness alone allows them to offer a unique viewing experience that streamers of other nationalities will never be able to replicate. Now that we understand Irish streamers bring an irreplaceable style of entertainment to streaming, how do they leverage this advantage, and who has been the most successful?

From variety streamers to Internet personalities, esports professionals, and YouTube creators turned streamers, the Irish side of Twitch is eclectic and multi-faceted. Come find out which of these Twitch streamers are the most popular and how they do it.

Easywithaces competing at a poker event

Easywithaces isn’t your typical Twitch videogame fanatic streamer, but a poker player and content creator. Easywithaces AKA Fintan Hand (a fitting name) first started playing poker at age 5 and claims to have played every day since. He worked as a poker dealer while at college and started his Twitch channel in 2015.

Although poker was still very new to Twitch in 2015, Fintan fell in love with streaming and began building up a sizeable audience. Eventually, Fintan was approached by PokerStars, the largest real-money online poker site in the world, and became an official Irish PokerStars ambassador. Despite the new title, content creation remains Fintan’s passion and he has started producing content on TikTok alongside his stream on Twitch.

Fintan has less and less time to stream on the easywithaces channel nowadays, as he continues to develop his career and branch out into new businesses, but he remains one of the strongest content creators not only in Ireland but in the poker content creation sphere.

He had built up a sizeable channel in no time at all, quickly setting a personal best of 16.2K Peak Viewers in his first dedicated year on Twitch. He still competes in Fortnite events and streams his POV of them, allowing Fortnite esports fans a peek behind the curtain on how players perform at such high levels.
