November was a rather eventful month, featuring a number of new games, GlitchCon, esports tournaments and much more. All of this affected the ranking of most popular streamers. Read our analysis of Twitch results to find out who reached the top.

Gaules became the most popular streamer on Twitch in November, being only 100 thousand viewers away from setting a new record that month. This happened at the Astralis vs. MiBR match during the BLAST Premier Fall Series, at which moment his channel gathered an amazing number of 306 thousand peak viewers. The final stage of the big tournament lies ahead, and the chances of setting a new record for the channel are high. The results of the group stage can be seen in our report.

The Brazilian streamer dethroned the Canadian one, xQcOW – who consistently became the most watched streamer from August to October. It can be said that this “achievement” can be mostly attributed to Felix himself. During the Twitch Rivals Fall Guys, he stream-sniped one of the participants for fun, something the platform’s administration didn’t appreciate. As a result, xQc was blocked for a week and missed a significant share of hours watched.

Due to the recent US presidential elections, the political topics became popular on the platform as well. The HasanAbi channel became particularly popular at the time, given that this streamer was actively discussing political topics on his broadcasts. On election night, his channel gathered 227 thousand peak viewers.

In November, Spanish streamer ibai won the Esports Awards 2020 in the “Streamer of the Year” category. But in terms of hours watched per month he was only fourth, with his indicators decreasing by 21% compared to October. This can be attributed to absence of LoL Worlds 2020, which brought the channel a lot of views last month.

Sykkuno’s rise to the top 10 was rather sudden. He recently joined the OfflineTV content maker group and moved to their gaming house. His new colleagues include such popular personalities as Pokimane and Scarra, which was the reason for Sykkuno’s channel to start gaining a large number of new viewers. Additionally, his November streams were almost entirely dedicated to Among Us, one of the most popular Twitch categories as of late.

Asmongold’s performance was slightly disappointing. His channel became the most watched one on the platform during the release WoW Classic. However, he didn’t manage to repeat this achievement during the release of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. The appearance of the new addon, the launch of which was covered in our blog, provided only a big enough boost to return to the top-10 Twitch streamers.

The Russian-speaking part of Twitch did not retain the previous owner of the first spot as well. In November, Buster became the most popular streamer in this segment. This happened mostly due to the show match between the teams FREAK SQUAD and 89 SQUAD, led by Buster and Bratishkin, respectively. Participating in the show was even the famous Russian-speaking performer Egor Kreed.

The one dethroned was Evelone192, who was not very active in November and has the least airtime among the top-10. His broadcasts were mostly centered around CS:GO, but sometimes the streamer also participated in the Among Us matches or the classic Mafia.

It can be also noted that in November, Russian-speaking viewers began to spend less time on esports broadcasts. Namely, while in October the top 10 channels included a total of four esports studios, in November this number was decreased by half.

SilverName’s performance was rather stable. Despite Hearthstone not being as popular in the region as CS:GO or Dota 2, his channel stays among the top 3 channels by hours watched for several months in a row. The huge fanbase of this streamer makes it impossible for him to drop to any lower spot.
