There were several significant shifts in the most-watched Twitch teams rankings by the end of August. Esports organizations reentered the overall top-10 ranking, and two Eastern European teams found their place in the top agencies list. At the same time, VTubers from VShojo are slowly losing their prominence.
Most watched Twitch teams in August 2024
At the end of August, the overall ranking of the most popular Twitch teams saw only minor adjustments. The team of popular Spanish streamer Ibai, who's the only member of it, has dropped from the top position. To provide some context, Ibai topped the charts in July following his highly successful boxing event, La Velada del Año 4, which set several viewership records.
Teams like Loaded, Mythic Talent, GG Talent Group, OTK, and INSIGHT retained their positions from July. However, each of these teams saw a slight increase in Hours Watched at the end of summer, adding 2-3 million HW.
The most notable change in the rankings is the return of esports organizations to the top 10. In August, the Japanese team ZETA DIVISION and the American team Sentinels re-entered the ranking. For ZETA DIVISION, stylishnoob4, a major fan of Escape from Tarkov, was the leading streamer. For Sentinels, tarik, the most popular community caster for Valorant, took the lead, actively covering Valorant Champions 2024 throughout August.

The most significant change among esports organizations in the rankings was the shift in leadership. ZETA DIVISION experienced a 14% increase in HW compared to July, allowing them to overtake the Sentinels. Team Liquid also made notable progress, climbing from fifth place to the top 3 by the end of the month.
In contrast, FaZe Clan saw a substantial decline, with a nearly 30% drop in HW compared to July, which caused them to fall to the middle of the rankings. This is one of the largest decreases among the top 10 teams. However, FaZe Clan may soon bounce back, as FaZe Swagg, a prominent streamer for the organization, recently resumed streaming on Twitch.

Another key development was the impressive growth of 100 Thieves. Last month, the organization’s streamers boosted their HW by a remarkable 76%, largely thanks to NiceWigg, a popular community caster for Apex Legends. OpTic Gaming also came close to breaking into the top 10, with streamers like Scump, Shotzzy, Dashy, and TeePee significantly increasing their audience reach thanks to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta.
Most watched Twitch talent agencies in August 2024
Most agencies improved their Hours Watched performance by the end of August, but the overall rankings remained stable. The top three agencies — Loaded, Mythic, and GG Talent — kept their positions. However, VShojo, the largest VTuber agency on Twitch, saw a slight decline. This drop is partly due to a continued decrease in viewership for ironmouse, the agency's top streamer, which has been ongoing for three months.
A notable shift in the rankings was the entry of two agencies that work with Eastern European streamers. Gamers Club, led by VooDooSh, claimed the eighth position. Streamers Alliance, featuring primarily Dota 2 streamers such as Stray228, ybicanoooobov, and TpaBoMaH, secured the tenth spot. The rise in popularity of these channels can be attributed to recent Dota 2 in-game events, including the release of the new hero Ringmaster and recent balance patches, which have captured significant interest from Twitch viewers.
