Most watched Twitch teams in May 2022

Most watched Twitch teams in May 2022

May has become the month of esports on Twitch, which has had a direct impact on the performance of the platform's streamer teams. But despite the many associations of tournament operators, casual streamers still stayed in the top: not least due to the fact that they actively covered the trial between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. Streams Charts tells you which Twitch teams made it to the top 10.

Disclaimer: The ranking is based on Hours Watched of Twitch team members. The list does not include communities of esports clubs (Luminosity Gaming, Team SoloMid and others) as they are be reviewed separately.

For the first time in two months, the leader of the rating has changed. Tribo Gaules moved up from fourth to first place, with its leader Gaules becoming the most watched streamer of the month. The squad amassed 75% more Hours Watched compared to April and totaled over 32.6M Hours Watched. Recall that Gaules actively covered one of the most popular esports tournaments of the month, PGL Antwerp Major, during which he set a new peak viewership record for his channel.

One True King remained in second place, although it collected 18% more Hours Watched in May compared to April. By a huge margin, Asmongold became the most watched streamer of the team (he took third place among all streamers in May) and helped it to collect over 29.9M Hours Watched.

G FUEL, one of the largest teams in terms of the number of streamers included, fell from first to third place with 28.1 million Hours Watched (being down 11% in total HW). As always, the most watched member of the team was summit1g, who collected more than 18% of the total result of the association.

The rest of the Twitch teams were significantly behind the top three. So, in fourth place was Loaded team with a result of 19.6 million Hours Watched (this is 30% less than G FUEL). Summit1g also became the leader of this team, and the second place in terms of Hours Watched went to streamer LIRIK.

The 5th-6th places are occupied by two teams of the tournament operator PGL. It is noteworthy that it was Team PGL that turned out to be slightly higher, which, in addition to the two main channels with the English-language broadcasts of the PGL Antwerp Major, also includes several test streams. It was thanks to them that the overall result was slightly higher than that of PGL ESPORTS.

The last non-esports team, Corsair, came in seventh in the rankings with 15.6 million Hours Watched, which is about 12% less than its April’s result. This team also includes summit1g, and it was he who became the most productive creator of the association in terms of watch time; following him is CohhCarnage.

ESL Gaming team turned out to be extremely productive in May, covering not only the ESL One Stockholm Major in Dota 2, but also IEM Dallas 2022 (this tournament is still ongoing), DreamHack Valencia in SC2, and even MSI 2022 matches on the German channel SummonersInnLive. In total, the team scored 15.6 million Hours Watched.

Two groups of channels Rot Games close the ranking of the most watched Twitch teams in May. A little higher than League of Legends Championship Series was the Riot Games association of the same name, which, in addition to streams with MSI broadcasts, included Valorant channels.
