Streams Charts continues to sum up the results of April 2022. Previously we wrote about the top categories and streamers on Twitch, as well as named the most popular esports tournaments of the month. In a new article, we will tell you about YouTube channels, which April broadcasts attracted the most viewers.
Unlike other streaming platforms, a YouTube channel can host several live broadcasts concurrently. This feature is the reason why the airtime numbers are so high. Streams Charts estimates the statistics for each broadcast separately.
The most watched channel of the month is BillionSurpriseToys - English Kids Songs & Cartoon, which broadcasts a lot of children's content non-stop. The second place is taken by the Muslim channel Naimat, which hosts live broadcasts from Mecca and has streams with the recitation of the Quran. The Lofi Girl channel with music broadcasts ranks third in the top.
Other channels from the Top-10 by Hours Watched — with the exception of the Chanda Pop Song music channel and ABS-CBN Entertainment — are related to news content. Україна 24 and Факти ICTV, which cover the tragic events and geopolitical situation in Ukraine, rank fifth and seventh, respectively.
MPL Indonesia became the most watched channel on YouTube by Peak Viewers with over 942K spectators watching the second day of the MPL Indonesia Season 9 playoffs. Next comes the Cariocão TV channel, which broadcasted the final of Carioca Championship (Rio de Janeiro State Football Championship), it attracted 584.9K Peak Viewers.
ABS-CBN Entertainment, which drew more than 582.5K Peak Viewers during the coronation of Miss Universe Philippines 2022, rounds out the Top 3 by Peak Viewers. GrandTV is in fourth place with 569K Peak Viewers; the channel also broadcast the final of the beauty pageant, but in Thailand.
Law & Crime Network ranks fifth among the most popular YouTube channels of the month. It attracted almost 510K Peak Viewers at the broadcast of the ninth day of the trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.
In sixth place is the only Russian-language channel from April's Top-10, ФЕЙГИН LIVE. A conversation between Russian public person Mark Feygin and a Ukrainian politician Aleksei Arestovich gathered 477.8K Peak Viewers.
It is noteworthy that there is not a single gaming channel in the Top 10 by Hours Watched, whereas there are three of such channels in the Top 10 by Peak Viewers. In addition to the previously mentioned MPL Indonesia, Brawl Stars and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Indonesia gathered a huge audience at their broadcasts in April.
We should note that the broadcast on the Brawl Stars channel was only 10 minutes long. It attracted 431.6K Peak Viewers during the premiere of the Brawl Talk's new episode, in which the hosts talked about the upcoming game updates.
The Top-10 most popular channels of the month is closed by a religious channel Bispo Bruno Leonardo with daily prayers. Its broadcast on the night of April 25th attracted 381.7K Peak Viewers.
