On June 17, the world's most popular online streaming service, Netflix, held Tudum 2023, during which it showcased new projects and premiered trailers for upcoming releases. The live stream of the event was conducted on the service's official YouTube channel and reached over 78.8K Peak Viewers. Additionally, Netflix's announcements were actively discussed in Twitch chats. Stream Charts has found out which series attracted the most attention from audiences.
Firstly, we analyzed how often the name of the online streaming service appeared in conversations between Twitch users. The number of Netflix mentions showed several peaks in June. The first peak happened on June 8, when the platform's name appeared in chats more than 6.8K times. This is almost the same number as during the Netflix Tudum presentation itself. The second significant peak occurred on June 12, when the number of mentions of Netflix on Twitch skyrocketed to 5K messages. Interestingly, the main reason for that surge was the presentation of Ubisoft Forward 2023. During this event, the anime series Captain Laserhawk Blood Dragon Remix with characters from various Ubisoft games was announced, and it was revealed that the premiere would take place on Netflix.
Finally, by June 17, the number of mentions of Netflix exceeded 7K messages per day. This increase was directly related to the Netflix Tudum 2023 live stream.
