HyperX Caster

The HyperX Caster, in essence, is a microphone arm that costs around $119.99. Buying it with the HyperX ProCast mic will increase the cost above $300, possibly making it out of budget for small streamers and amateurs.

This product's USP is that it’s the first time a completely toolless, spring-loaded arm is available in the market. Moreover, it fits microphones and webcams with 1/4″, 3/8″, or 5/8″ threading. This should secure it with an “adjustable internal tension mechanism… with a hand-operated dial and joint friction” alongside a C-clamp to attach to a table or desk. The HyperX Caster is also made of aluminum and has quite a long horizontal reach at 32 inches.

Elgato's new range of capture cards — 4K X and the 4K Pro — can seemingly fulfill every need of content creators. They were first captured at the company's booth at TwitchCon by the Senpai Gaming YouTube channel.

The external 4K X looks like an improvement from the HD60 X that came out last year. It offers 4K/144 HDR10 capture and playthrough, up to 1080P/240 high refresh rate capture, and is plug-and-play across Windows, Mac, and iPad.

Elgato Prompter

Elgato has also lined up the Prompter, an all-in-one teleprompter and additional monitor set to revolutionize video calls, YouTube videos, and streaming on platforms like Twitch, for a December release. Costing $279.99, it offers many features that make it valuable to professionals and content creators.

A standout feature is its nine-inch display that boasts a resolution of 1024x600. It reflects onto beamsplitter glass, which allows cameras to record through the glass without capturing the displayed text. The product has also been made compatible with numerous cameras, including DSLR/mirrorless cameras, its own Facecam Pro webcam, and smartphones (via a universal adaptor). The Prompter also comes with interchangeable step-up rings, meaning it can attach to different camera lenses.

Notably, Elgato has developed a teleprompter software specifically for this item, making it easy to display and scroll full-screen text. Influencers can also use its display as an additional screen to run apps like Zoom or Microsoft Teams, ensuring eye contact with meeting participants.

Lastly, the Camera Hub app provides various customization options, such as adjusting font size, colors, scroll speed, and display brightness.

Razer

Project Carol

At this year's CES event, Razer and its R&D department introduced the world to Project Carol, a headrest it promises "will take gamers into a new world of audio and tactile immersion."
