The game immediately gained traction on release through social media and word-of-mouth. Within one day, it had sold 100,000 copies, and after only one week, it had surpassed one million total sales. Not only has the game been financially a smash hit, but it also was one of the top-ranked categories on Twitch during its release week. On its most successful day, June 18, Peak collected 566,442 Hours Watched on Twitch and was the 17th-most-watched category on the platform.

The make-up of the title’s streamers was immensely diverse, but Russia, France, and the USA fielded the majority of viewers for the title.
The game achieved such success thanks to the wide variety of streamers who dipped their toes into the title. Highly popular streamers from various countries tried out the title, the most popular of which received tens of thousands of Average Viewers (AV). French streamer Anyme023 achieved the largest bang for their buck, recording the highest AV of any Peak streamer. This also made him the most-watched streamer, with 179K Hours Watched.
The make-up of the top streamers for the title reflect the global viewership for the game.
