We are continuing to improve the variety of statistics readily available for our users. Now, we’re happy to announce we’ll be directly tracking statistics for the release of games for users to access on the game’s page.
2023’s Summer has been momentous for new game releases and these games have taken over Twitch viewership as they’ve released. Diablo IV, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Starfield are just some of the games we’ve produced articles for to track their release viewership, and from now on our users will be able to check these statistics themselves directly instead of waiting for an article.
Our release of this feature coincides with the release of Starfield, Bethesda’s all-new action RPG and their first new universe in over a decade. With hype high for the new release we hope our users will enjoy perusing the various statistics we have available for the official release of the title.
Check Starfield Early Access and Launch Analytics
Statistics will be available for the top channels in some of our metrics, such as hours of watch time, peak concurrent viewers, and total airtime for channels. Keen-eyed readers might also notice the various tabs in the top right. Not only will we be tracking the statistics for the official release of games, but also viewership statistics for an early release and the initial beta test, when applicable.
In the above screenshot, you can see how we have tracked the early access for Starfield, as well as the release date statistics so far.
Of course, statistics can be hard to read without something to compare it to. That’s why we’re also giving our users the ability to compare the viewership statistics of games to some of the most popular releases of 2023. Not only can you view the statistics data for your favourite new release, but you can also compare it to other major titles and how they performed on Twitch, YouTube and other streaming platforms.
At the moment these comparison games are Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV, Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. However, expect these games to be updated as more and more exciting titles come out of the game development industry and milestones in live-streaming continue to be broken.
Streams Charts also tracks the milestones for games that release, just as we track milestones for your favourite streamers on their Streamers page. We will track milestones such as the beginning of early access or the launch of a game, as well as major milestones in the viewership statistics, like a new Peak Viewers record, Peak Channels, and the hours of watch time milestones. We will continue to track this data for the first week of the game’s release.
We’re excited to share that these release statistics will be available for all users up to two weeks after a stage begins, and thereafter they will be only accessible by our PRO subscribers. As Streams Charts continues to work on our statistics databases and new ways to analyse the viewership of your favourite streamer, platform, or game, a PRO subscription is only getting more and more worth it.
Follow Starfield’s viewership statistics for its release on its game page, or check out the viewership statistics for the release of your preferred game.
