Around two weeks back, voting for nominees at The Streamer Awards 2024 opened, with fans allowed to choose who could be up for the various awards at this beloved show. The upcoming edition, on February 18, will see gongs handed out in almost 30 categories, with all the winners decided thanks to a unique concept that gives full control of the results to the voting public.
The third iteration of the awards ceremony will be hosted by its creator, QTCinderella, who will be accompanied by another massively popular content creator, Pokimane, as the co-host. While Valkyrae was the co-host of the live in-person function last year, it was Maya Higa who had that honor during the inaugural function in 2022.

The show will be streamed on its creators' channel, with community casting also allowing other content creators to broadcast the happenings live. Voting for the winners will close on February 7, with fans allowed to skip categories they do not want to vote for. They can also come back later and update their submissions.
What happened at The Streamer Awards 2023?
Tenz walked out with the Gamer of the Year gong, while Kai Cenat was voted the Streamer of the Year at last year's influencer spectacle. It hugely improved upon its viewership numbers from 2022 as well, hitting 2.3M Hours Watched, 580K Peak Viewers, and 426K Average Viewers (up by 176%, 152%, and 154%, respectively).
Most crucially, the live broadcast remains QTCinderella's most-watched ever while sitting second on the peak and average viewership charts. What really helped it do so much better was the role of community streaming, with the second iteration being the first to allow for this sharing of the live feed with other internet stars.
The live in-person function started with the red carpet event before moving to the main awards show. Prominent streamers names like HasanAbi, Ludwig, Sweet Anita, and SqueeX were the hosts on the red carpet, with viewers seeing live performances from the likes of Nicki Taylor, ARIatHOME, Charming_Jo, and Yung Gravy.
