Top British streamers of 2024

Top British streamers of 2024
Share:

British streamers had a much busier year in 2024 compared to the previous 12 months. Most of the top names in the rankings saw their yearly Hours Watched (HW) increase, contributing to a 17% year-on-year growth in total watch time. This impressive rise came despite a sharp 75% drop in the number of channels actively livestreaming.

Note: With stats for the entirety of 2024 now available, there have been some changes to these rankings, which have been necessarily updated.

Improvements in watch time, despite the lack of on-air channels, were led by the likes of League of Legends esports caster Marc "Caedrel" Lamont and football enthusiast Morgan "angryginge13" Burtwistle, who were way more active last year than in 2023. They were joined by other renowned names from Britain on the list of ten most-watched content creators from this region.

10 —Vedal987

UK's top VTuber, Vedal987, finds a place right at the end, helped by a 28% rise in his yearly watch time. What makes this channel so interesting is that the virtual character fans see on screen, Neuro-sama, is an AI virtual YouTuber and chatbot created by the Twitch channel's owner, Vedal, a developer and a level 5 certified hacker.

Vedal also created Abandoned Archive, a spellcasting roguelike game that came to Steam Early Access in 2023 and continues to remain in this state. Meanwhile, Neuro-sama's speech and personality are powered by an artificial intelligence (AI) system that uses a large language model that allows her to communicate with viewers in the stream's chat.

She was initially created for gaming, as seen from her activities in 2024, where the AI model played games like MinecraftGeoGuessr, and SOMA. Last year, Neuro-sama defeated a top osu! player and participated in major events like WeebCon 2024, helping attract a massive following across Twitch and Bilibili.

9 — Ethan "fifakillvizualz" Pink

Another British name with a big reputation in the video gaming world, fifakillvizualz is prominent for his Call of Duty gameplay. He is renowned for his exceptional skills in the battle royale game, Warzone, and is widely recognized as one of the game's best players globally.

The 25-year-old's love for Warzone can be seen in the fact that the game takes up over 97% of his watch time so far in 2024. His aggressive playstyle, quick reflexes, and strategic thinking have also made him a beloved name in the online community, with thousands of fans tuning into his broadcasts last year.

Fifakill also participated in the World Series of Warzone and various other streamer events, naturally finishing near the top most times. This means he has collaborated with the likes of Timothy "TimtheTatman" Betar, Mason "Symfuhny" Lanier, and Riley "zSmit" Smith. He even became the top-ranked player on Warzone Ranked early last year, proving his talent and level of skills to followers and colleagues.

8 — Tobias "Tubbo" Smith

Tubbo is one of the most recognizable figures in the Minecraft community and a key member of the invite-only Dream SMP server. There, he has collaborated with renowned creators such as Clay "Dream" George "GeorgeNotFound" Davidson, and Mark "Ranboo" Ranboo.

The 21-year-old's comedic timing and impressive building skills made him a beloved figure in the Minecraft community, especially during the COVID-19 lockdown era. That was when his viewership was at its peak, reaching thousands, and while his streams last year attracted nowhere near those numbers, he remains a huge name among lovers of the sandbox game. In 2024, the London resident's content has mostly been from Minecraft or the Just Chatting genre.

Tubbo is also one of the handful of prominent creators to hold annual subathons, an exercise of livestreaming 24x7 for a certain period. These broadcasts usually involve cooking shows, Dungeons & Dragons sessions, visiting charities like BBC's Children in Need and Art In Mind, panel shows, and playing other games, apart from sleeping on camera. He has also pursued other ventures, including releasing original songs and collaborating with other artists, with these music videos gaining significant popularity among his fans.

7 — Michael "AuzioMF" Faria

AuzioMF is one of Britain's most popular FIFA content creators and former pro, having played the game professionally and representing Crystal Palace at the ePremier League Finals during the FIFA 19 season. He also coached and mentored current Manchester City Esports player Donovan "Tekkz" Hunt across various tournaments in 2019 and 2020.

Known for his exceptional skill and in-depth knowledge of the game, the 25-year-old has gained a significant following among football simulation lovers. A member of the content creation team of British Talent agency InterTalent Group, his content primarily focuses on the FIFA Ultimate Team, player reviews, pack openings, and providing tips and tricks to his viewers.

AuzioMF's reputation in the gaming industry is reflected in the fact that he works with some of the biggest brands, including Logitech, NordVPN & Raid: Shadow Legends. In 2024, over 96% of his broadcasts were from either EA Sports FC 24 or EA Sports FC 25, with IRL sports livestreams coming in third on this HW table.

6 — Sam "sam" Pepper

Sam might be known for his Kick channel over the last couple of years, but he started as a YouTuber who posted extreme prank videos. In fact, the former Vine star was an internet personality before getting into content creation, participating in the 11th season of the reality TV show Big Brother in 2010.

The 35-year-old is known for his controversial content and online stunts, having gained popularity through his sketches and challenges that often pushed the boundaries of acceptable online behavior. Such a reputation has also meant he has faced significant backlash and criticism for his actions, including accusations of harassment and manipulation.

5 — Kyle "Mongraal" Jackson

One of the youngest and most popular Fortnite players in the world, Mongraal first entered the limelight for his exceptional mechanical skill, aggressive playstyle, and captivating personality. The hype around him reached new heights in 2018 when, at just 13 years old, he was featured on BBC News for his collaboration with Team Secret. However, he was unable to compete in esports tournaments or championships due to the minimum age requirement of 15.

Having already made a splash in the video gaming community at such a tender age, the now 20-year-old rose to livestreaming fame as a member of the legendary Fortnite trio "FaZe Clan." Also consisting of Dmitri "Mitr0" van de Vrie and Benjy "Benjyfishy" Fish, this trio dominated the competitive Fortnite scene, winning numerous tournaments and setting records.

A quick look through Mongraal's streams reiterates his love for Epic Games' builder shooter, with this game giving him more than 97% of his overall watch time last year. He has also continued to keep himself busy competitively in 2024 by participating in Cash Cups and the FNCS Duos segment.

4 — Will "QuickyBaby" Frampton

QuickyBaby, part of the Twitch Ambassadors streaming team, is particularly recognized for his in-depth analysis and strategic insights into World of Tanks. The strategy and simulation game has a pretty big market in the UK, and his calm and analytical approach, which often involves breaking down complex strategies and tactics into easily understandable terms, is a hit among fans.

Unsurprisingly, most of his broadcasts in 2024 have revolved around World of Tanks, with his community appreciating his educational content. Moreover, as per his YouTube, the 36-year-old is in the K-91 Master Class in World of Tanks, with his channel offering mentorship to 'experienced players looking for detailed advice to take their gameplay in a tank to the next level.' This has also made him the largest European server streamer in the World of Tanks community.

A recent charity livestream on QuickBaby's Twitch channel hit around 36K Peak Viewers (PV), ending as his most popular yet. It partnered with SpecialEffect — a UK-based charity aiding gamers with physical disabilities — and Cancer Research UK,  the world's leading independent cancer charity.

3 — Connor Marc "CDawgVA" Colquhoun

CDawgVA is a Welsh streamer, voice actor, and podcaster currently based in Tokyo, Japan. Known for his unique style of voice acting and character impressions, the Twitch star often streams in the Just Chatting genre, apart from playing games like League of Legends and Palworld, at least in 2024. He is also a big fan of the Final Fantasy series, as seen from his list of streams.

The 28-year-old's impressive voice-acting skills are a feature of most of his broadcasts; he has also used this talent to dub for anime and video games. He is also a close friend of ironmouse, often collaborating on gaming streams with the star VTuber and supporting her causes, including her annual charity subathon (which broke records on Twitch last year).

CDawgVA also hosted his second straight charity auction in July and participates in annual cyclethons to support the Immune Deficiency Foundation (IDF) — a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life of people affected by primary immunodeficiency — for whom he has raised over a million dollars. It is the same disease suffered by ironmouse, and their efforts to help those in need and learn more about the rare genetic disorder have earned them much respect in the global livestreaming community.

2 — Morgan "Angry Ginge" Burtwistle

When it comes to IRL and entertaining content, Angry Ginge might be the top name on this list of top streamers from the UK. He is known for his energetic personality and comedic timing, with the appeal of his hair color — very much par for the course in his homeland — adding to his following.

The 23-year-old's online alias is a pun on his hair color, one that has been subject to plenty of chatter over the decades. It is this ability to weave this narrative into his content and come across as relatable that has helped him connect with his audience and made him a beloved figure around the world.

As seen in his page on Streams charts, Angry Ginge has been on a tear since launching his channel in 2020, jumping up thousands and hundreds of places each year to find himself within the top 100 most watched Twitch steamers in 2024.

The Salford native's barnstorming run last year also saw him rewarded earlier this month with a deal as a player on Red Bull's esports team. Off-camera, he manages Winton Wanderers Yanited FC, a grassroots U-18 club gaining global fame thanks to his YouTube channel. He has also signed on to manage one of the 12 teams in the upcoming Baller League, which will be run by his friend and peer, KSI.

1 — Marc "Caedrel" Lamont

Caedrel is a prominent British League of Legends caster, analyst, and streamer who also played professionally for teams like Fnatic, H2K, and Excel Esports. Although he transitioned into content creation a few years ago, it was only in 2024 that he really broke out and became highly successful.

The 28-year-old's 2024 was filled with coverage of LoL events and series like the Worlds 2024, LEC, LCK, EMEA Masters, and MSI 2024, attracting thousands of viewers. This high viewership also made him the game's top streamer over the past 12 months, cementing his status as its pre-eminent esports voice.

Caedrel also shattered his Twitch channel record by attracting a whopping 402,505 Peak Viewers (PV) during the World Championship final between T1 and Bilibili Gaming. Overall, his almost 77 million HW on the purple platform was a jump of 222% from 2023, making him the internet personality with the largest growth among the top 30 League of Legends influencers across platforms.

The Berlin resident ended the year with some equally exciting news for fans, parting ways with Fnatic, for whom he was an official streamer throughout 2024 to pursue other ventures. These 'other ventures' included founding and coaching his own LoL team, Los Ratones, which has so far competed in show tournaments, even clinching the NNO Cup Season 2 title.
