The rating of most popular Twitch categories has changed quite a bit since January. Rust is already forgotten as popular English-speaking streamers switched to RP-servers in GTA V. At the same time, some esports disciplines increased the indicators thanks to popular tournaments.

The leader on the platform for the 10th month in a row is non-gaming category Just Chatting. Over February, it scored 239.8M Hours Watched, which is 3% less than in January. German streamer trymacs became the leader by HW, and two more Spanish content creators (Ibai and Auronplay) also got into the top 3.

League of Legends regained its title of the most popular Twitch game. In January, it was surpassed by Rust which had its last surge of interest in mid-February. Esports competitions are also actively helping the growth of LoL’s Hours Watched as the LCS spring split started in early February.

GTA V showed serious progress, rising by five places in the ranking. RP-servers actively helped the game’s popularization on Twitch. The most popular streamer in the category was the Brazilian streamer Coringa from LOUD, as well as several English-language content creators from the NoPixel server, like xQc.

Valorant also moved up in the ranking. The growth of the game is caused by Valorant Champions Tour 2021 which is being held in different regions. During the month, the game’s Hours Watched increased by 29%, due to which it rose from 11th to 7th place.

The reason of Apex Legends’ growth is the same: ALGS Winter Circuit matches have been held in the game since the end of February. NA and EU regions recently updated their records by Peak Viewers. In February, the game reached the 9th spot.

Among the new games, Valheim has attracted the most attention. The title was released on February 2 and almost instantly caught people’s attention. The game took 14th place in the ranking with 35.6M Hours Watched. Among the top Western streamers, shroud was particularly fond of the game.

Rainbow Six: Siege also showed positive dynamics thanks to popular content creators like kinggeorge, beaulo and pengu. In February, the game climbed seven places and reached 16th place.

PUBG has also returned to the top 20. The category’s numbers are growing primarily due to the World Championship, which is currently taking place in the Korean city of Incheon. The competition will run until the end of March, so the game is likely to stay in the top 20 for another month.
